General Rules and Guidelines for posting at Supraforums.com.

1) No Spam allowed whatsoever. Do not post any spam in any of our forums. Posting spam of any kind will lead to permanent IP Address banning.

2) Post responsibly. Do not get into any flame wars, name calling, etc. Starting or participating in any type of argument with name calling or insults will lead to your permanent banning.

3) DO NOT post any item for sale in any other area except the appropriate for sale areas. Absolutely no for sale threads in off topic or any other non for sale forum. This includes linking your for sale ads in your signature.

4) ABSOLUTELY NO ADVERTISING in any threads, or advertising a business in your avatar, user name, location, signature, or web page link in your profile. Advertising requires Supraforums sponsorship. (If you wish to advertise, contact "willatsupraforums" for a sponsorship information package). This includes the business that built your car, you buy parts from, or your buddies shop. No advertising in Private Messages (PM's), no offering parts and/or service to SupraForums' members via PM.
The ONLY EXCEPTION to the above rules are existing Supraforums sponsors, which may be linked in your signature. If you're not sure who is a sponsor, PM an admin or Super Moderator.

This also applies to linking to companies while discussing products or services. The ONLY place these links are allowed is the Shop and Parts review forum.

5) Limit your signature sizes to 400x300 maximum size. If you post a larger signature you will be temporarily banned, followed by permanently banned.

6) ABSOLUTELY no advertising a competing car forum of any kind in any place in your profile, signature, avatar, or user name.

7) The For Sale section has rules about amount of posts and membership length BEFORE you can post anything for sale. Posting anything without reading these rules could lead to permanent banning.

8) ABSOLUTELY NO GROUP OR VENDOR buys allowed unless pre-approved by an administrator. You may not start a thread discussing a group buy to drum up sales without PRE-APPROVAL.
This also includes Selling Multiple new parts/items.

9) ABSOLUTELY NO EBAY LINKS allowed on the forums. You can show a part, discuss it, but DO NOT post a link to the auction or the person selling the item for sale.

10)DO NOT post ANY questions asking for a Car Fax in any area

11) No NON WORK SAFE (NWS) CONTENT ALLOWED IN THE GENERAL FORUMS. This includes in your AVATAR, SIGNATURE, PROFILE, ETC. We won't ask you twice. This means no cursing, nudity, or otherwise offensive content in anything that shows up when you post.

12) Moderators and Administrators decisions are final. There will be no discussion, talking, questioning, or otherwise asking why a moderator or administrator has taken an action on a post, thread, or individual. DO NOT ask why someone was banned, or why you were banned in the public forum. USE A PM IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. Openly disagreeing or questioning a moderator or administrators decision will get you immediately and permanently banned. No trying to "rally the troops" in support of your efforts to question a moderator or administrator. This has been recently done and is completely against the rules here.

Insulting a moderator or administrator in a public post is grounds for immediate banning. It is the moderator or admins decision if you will be banned based on an insulting private message.

13) You may have only ONE ACCOUNT at Supraforums, PERIOD. If you have more than one active account, PM an administrator immediately so one can be removed. If you have more than one and we find out about it (it is quite easy), all accounts will be permanently banned and you will not be allowed back on. You may NOT login from multiple accounts on the same computer (IP address). We have automated tools to find and ban users who do this.

14) If you are temporarily banned for some reason, DO NOT sign up for another account. Doing so will get both accounts and your IP address permanently banned.

15) DO NOT introduce a new part or service that you have invented or started with the intention to get people to PM you to buy it. This is very obvious and will get you permanently banned.

16) No gross/disgusting posts anywhere including off topic.

With the new software the staff has the ability to temporarily ban users with an explanation. If you are temporarily banned, when you login you will receive a reason with your banning.

When contacting a "staff member" please link any posts, threads or member profiles you might be referencing.
