Cars w/ Super Monitors

Turn ignition key to on - don't start the car.

Hold down the first and third button until the letters ERR or ERROR appear on the screen. Takes about 3-5 seconds.

Then hold down the fourth button until DIAG appears on the screen. Takes another 3-5 seconds.

The super monitor will then start going through the codes. It will display them on the screen. To know what each code is, look it up in the TSRM.

I would like to know if the error codes for a 1JZ are the same as the error codes for the 7M or 2JZ.

I have done nothing but hondas before i got an 89 mkiii. on hondas the codes are shown on the compure for the car. were do the codes show on an 89 mkiii?

Kinda a weird question but has anybody with a vpc had a check engine light come on? Since installing a vpc on my car i have never had the check engine light come on. Maybe its a good thing maybe not.

i believe that the codes are the same for the 1JZ as the 2JZ. ive helped my friend run codes on his 1JZ and we used the 2JZ code manual to do the diag. worked perfectly.

my Engine's lights on constantly, reason? O2 sensor lol.
Enough said. Many could relate to this, I simply took out my resonator and it did it.
For 1JZ's, the second you hit fuel cut (5 RPM stock) you'll have your engine light come up.
