Hey guys, I'm keen on getting a full carbon fibre bonnet, and I really like the styling and venturi cooling of the AbFlug bonnet. As the genuine AbFlug only comes in fibreglass, can anyone tell me if a high quality full carbon fibre replica would be available, and how much it would cost? Don't want nasty gaps around the bonnet, or imprefections in the cf. Can someone post pics please?

Also what other bonnets are available in cf? pics?

Thanks, Dan.

There is not, in my opinion, a high quality Ab-Flug replica in CF (or fiberglass). The replica that SS carries is made by Aerogear and is total crap, again IMHO. You can buy it for about $100 less than SS carries it from NOPI last time I checked...not that I would want one for free.

Based on your desire for no gaps or CF imperfections your choices will be very limited.

The problem with most knock-offs is every once in a while they get it right & it fits good & looks good. So you hear some people say how perfect their's fits or you see one at a Supra meet & you think they all look like that. In reality you've got a slim chance of getting a good knock-off piece most of the time.

That's why MVP does not, and never will, carry blow-mold "made in Taiwan" replica parts for Supras. I will (and do) carry replicas that are hand made (like my TRD Replica kit which is well known to fit as good as the original) and of good quality.

Not all replicas are bad...just most of them. :)

We carry the genuine Top Secret & Stout hoods in Carbon Fiber. I soon hope to have a good quality TRD replica CF hood. A pic of the Top Secret is on my website. I have a few Stout I can email you if you'll give me your email address.

Regards,

Dusty

My e-mail address is dweaverkoenigs@iprimus.com.au if you could e-mail me the pics of the Top Secret and the Stout that would be great. Really have my heart set on a AbFlug, but also really have my heart set on carbon fibre, so torn between the two.

Thanks Dusty.

Dan.

I can understand the tearing. :)

Email sent on the Stout pics. The Top Secret pic is on my website in the Body Kit section.

Thanks,

Dusty
