air conditioning system

Curt- I'm having some issues with my AC and I was hoping you can help me troubleshoot. (I did some searching and I didn't find anything)

1. My AC light blinks occasionally (always has since I bought it); manual says something is wrong with AC (duh).

2. AC works randomly, ice cold sometimes, other times nothing; accompanied by blinking light most times when its not working.

3. When running AC (working randomly) the idle of my car jumps from 550-1100 rpms accompanied by what I think is the AC compressor kicking in and out.

4. When I have the enitre climate control system off (temp set at 70) and also set on fresh air intake (as a opposed to re-circulate) I can feel cold air coming through the vents.

Does this sound like an IAC problem or a compressor problem or low pressure refridgerant?

Sounds electrical.......

The FSM has the instructions for trouble shooting this. You need to jump the test connector, and "read" the flashing lights on the HVAC control panel similar to the "check engine" dianostic way.
