I was throwing together a couple different clusters today, and I noticed something. My '89 clusters have yellow needles, and my '91 cluster has orange needles. Any info on when this was changed?

Edit: My 1990 cluster has orange needles as well. It appears '89 had yellow, and 90+ had orange.

Nice job. I wasnt aware that in 1991 the extra lines were put back on the speedo. Interesting fact.

They were all orange, for all years, they turn yellow with age and UV exposure.

Coolant reservoir low.

I had the coolant flushed and it went out for like a week then it came back on
so those that mean there is a leak in the system?

hopefully someone will see this and respond, i somehow doubt it. I recently purchased a 87 turbo targa 5spd and realized theres no standard boost gauge. I checked the vin and it was indeed an original turbo, but why dont i have a boost gauge?

thanks

If your vin says the car was a turbo, the only explanation is that the gauge cluster was replaced at some point. Maybe to make the car look like it had lower miles?

Should be able to get a turbo gauge cluster and plug it in. They are always avaliable and not that much money.
