Hey guys, can't get the damn exhaust bolts off, tried heat, PB blaster, breaker bar, you name it. Anyway this is just the two bolts that bolt from my catback to the cat on the dp.

I have new nuts and bolt, so I wanna just cut em off. Anyone got the hardware for this and wanna help me out?

No, but SupraForums trolls seem to think it's pink. It's Porsche Red

Yeah PB seems to work a lot better, suprised it didn't work. Can you rent a sawzall from Home Depot? They might have one. But I agree, cut em and drill/punch them out, slide in the new ones.

id go with trying to drill them, yer gonna have a hell of time getting a sawzall up there, just put it on a lift or jack it up....get like 5 extensions on the socket and a peice of pipe on the wrench and yank the fuck out of it, if it doesnt come loose its damn sure gonna ring the nut off and snap it in half...have fun...

just throwing this out, Visegrips!
I've used them on bolts that were so corroded that regular sockets just rounded out the bolt, cause all the edges had turned to rust.

Someone had suggested vicegrips to me, and I was pretty skeptical, but it worked. just tighten them then lock them down and twist....

good luck

or mayb a hacksaw blade.... as long as you wear real thick gloves you won't need the whole hacksaw, just the blade (lets you get into tight spots), it's slow and tideous, but eventullly work.....

you can not just cut the bolts...if you can not get them off using a bar then you are going ot have to drill them out...no other way around it. My suggestion is to get a larger breaker bar...use the breaker bar and then attach a jack handle to it...that has always worked for me in the past on the tough ones. If it breaks, then you would have to drill it out anyways.

Okay I will try vicegrips but people here are missing my main point.

Breaker bar isn't an option anymore. The head is gummed up and won't accept a socket. I am a little out of options for that.

Vicegrips is worth a shot. I also heard that letting coke set on them in a self-made cup will eat away at rust if left on for a couple hours. Then, my other options are to cut off the heads and drill the rest through.

i say use acelyene torch and just blow them through.

you are going to have to drill the bolt out until there is enough room for the new bolts...make sure to use stainless as well. It is basically your only option now...you will simply not be able to appy enough torque with vise grips if the breaker bar would not even work.

yes i know, drilling a bolt out is definately not fun.

I second the air chisel, or even sacrifice a socket by pounding it onto the stripped bolt and then trying the breaker bar again.

If you don't have any luck with these suggestions and want to take a drive up to scenic Perryville  I can try to help you get these out.

I have air tools, and a Sawzall ;)

Send me a PM if you'd like my help

3rd vote for the air chisel... its exactly how my bolts came off! I had the same problem as you it seems.. the air chisel was the anwser.
