Yes, I've sent like 5-10 PM's and 100 IM's. It's been so long, I don't know how much I spent, but it was in the neighborhood of like $1000-$1500.

I spoke with Jack tonight via AIM with still no resolution. I will post when I have the goods are in my hands. But for now, I do not have a tracking number or anything to go by.

There is no excuse for having to wait this long, but I will keep it at this for now and hope Jack will take care of this.

I asked Jack about the situation a couple of weeks back after reading your post. I can't blame you for being frustrated with the whole situation, but Jack is a good guy. I called him again right now and he said he explained where he was at and that he was waiting for a couple of more parts when he spoke to you last week. If that isn't the case them PM me and I'll look into it further for you. He said that you have his cell also but you haven't called him.

You will be made whole, Jack will do it, and if for some reason not (which I really doubt) then I will make sure things are resolved. PM me if you need any info or want my # to call.

I have got continued response that "Jack is a good guy".

Sorry if I am a little pissed, but I keep getting EXCUSE after EXCUSE. Keep in mind, I am now getting "replacement" parts. It has been close to a YEAR. Not 1 month, not 2 months. The thread I posted originally was THREE MONTHS AGO, and I had already waited for A LONG time before even thinking about posting anything!!! I'm tired of the excuses. I have kept hearing "Let me talk to the shipper" or "I'll get it for you" or "I'm getting the parts". Keep in mind, I have no doubt that Jack will get me my parts, but the problem at hand is not the parts, but TIME. Time after time, I have said "Okay, I'll wait a little bit longer". I have said that at least 10-20 times now. Deadline after deadline have been passed. If I don't make a stand, I feel nothing will get done. I fear that my car will not be done for TX2K5 because of this situation, as I've already missed a bunch of events.

I am definitely not the one to give anybody a bad name, anyone that knows can vouch. I feel bad enough making a post, but having made 3 different posts speaks very largely on the situation.

I have been in constant contact, but I feel to get anything done I must post publically. He needs to call me, he has my cell as well.

I think it's obvious at this point that this Jack B is running a scam. Good guy or not 1 year to recieve a prepaid order is beyond rediculous. Chnco if you don't get your items soon I'ld just take the shit to small claims. Cost ya $25, and he hasn't got a leg to stand on in court. Good luck man. At the very least you've kept several people on this board from getting ripped off as well.

btw Small Claims is a maximum judgement of $5,000.

Whoa, Jack banned eh? Jack is a very busy guy and tries to get around to do things but it doesnt always end up like that, i was with him thursday, friday, saturday, and today sunday. getting all the cars ready for Justin Nenni to tune and fixing other various problems like wiring etc.

Interesting to hear from someone else. I have seen comments and such about Jack and his poor dealings mysteriously disappear, I always figured that the thread starter/poster deleted them. Apparently this is not the case, which I find quite sad to see. Looks like perhaps some people may have protection from the higher ups on the forums. :mad:

For the record, I've never deleted a thread on Jack's behalf. I haven't been privie to to any issues, including yours. But when my attention's been brought to an issue with anyone on this forum, especially someone I know personally, I make a point in seeing if I can help. If you would've asked me to help you, of course I would've.

BTW, where in this thread am I really sticking up for him?

I think Jack is a good guy, and there are always two sides to a story. I this case however, (even though he basically got jacked off by his supplier) I don't think Jacks' side really has much going for it. He admittedly just didn't keep on top of things as well as he should've and the whole situation was just made a mess. But regardless, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I've tried to keep on top of this situation as much as I can and try to help get the issue resolved, just as I have behind the scenes with other issues for both people I know and don't know.

Ryan, I did not intend to implicate you, as someone who had deleted a thread. That said, at the time of my thread deletion, I did contact a moderator(I cannot recall which), who stated that I must be mistaken, and perhaps I only thought that I had posted LOL. Within days I got a call from an individual named Tony who had also had the same problem. Both of our problems were resolved, but I was really suprised by the events surrounding the two aborted purchases. I think that the Moderators ought to have a talk, and make sure they are all on the same page. In addition, some sort of system for prohibiting repeat bad sellers ought to be instituted, and enforced regardless of the members seniority/standing in the community in the past. I participate in about a half a dozen forums, and this one is one of the best despite the egos that sometimes intrude. We all just want to keep it that way(the best). Ideally moderators would be impartial, that is what the title implies, otherwise you would be judges. So, You are not being accused of anything by me. Please consider that every time you write on this forum, you do so under the title Moderator, and because of that probably ought to stay away from comments that will make you appear to be partial to an individual who is not representative of the overall integrity of this board. I am aware of the title next to my name, so I try and be very careful of what and how I post. I didn't think you were implicating me, but wanted to put it out there for the record. As far as moderator involvement, we do try and have public discussions about things, as there was one about Jack which resulted in him being banned. And if anyone doesn't feel they are getting what they feel they should from a mod, should talk to an admin and if not happy with one talk to another and so on.

Also, I am hoping that we will be able to upgrade to a new version of VB which among other things will allow us to have user's buyer/seller rating in their profile.

IE: There is a piece of cardboard bondo'ed to the front bumper and a paint stirrer screwed in it.
