Most of the groups dont start riding till spring time on sunday mornings. I allways see them on my way down to ocean pkwy.

cool. I've already started riding last weekend (any temp above 40 is good for me). And from monday I begin my ride to my car pool guy's house 10 miles or so away in the morning and at night so hopefully i'll be competitive.

did you notice if the guys down on ocean pkwy are kitted out racers or are they recreational riders? roughly how many on their group?

i know I'm asking a lot but if you happen to see them again let me know...

If you're in the Hudson Valley Region, then there is a bicycling store at the intersection of RT-9 (north) and I-84 that appeals to avid road racers. IIRC, they have a sign up list and ride shedule..

I mean around the street all over, I see them in huge groups. Also along the wantagh they have a really good bike trale that my girlfriend and I jog in the summer.
