Anyone know any reputable/trustworthy repair shops/mechanics in socal (around long beach/oc/lakewood etc) that I could trust to put a new transmission in?

DynoXtreme call and ask for Sarkis 714-231-4299. They are not to far away from you. Very trust worthy and reasonable.

Another one in Industry is Wholesale Hyperformance. They have good prices and can import parts from Japan as well. Their site is www.wholehyper.com. Talk to Brent.
