Tell your friend to go to the local drag strip, I'm sure there are guys out there that would be willin' to lay the smack down for free.

Last time I took the bike to the drag strip there was a 9 sec turbo busa, so I'm sure you'll find something at your local drag strip :)

I get so fucking sick of road racers. Always talking shit then they come to the strip and can't get out of the high 10s on a 9 second bike. Please.

I apologize, my info was wrong (thanks for pointing out my post, I re-read it and went WTF? :) )

My friend's busa that was there one night was stock running 9.80s - I got it confused because someone mentioned something about a turbo busa that night :confused:

Then again another friend of mine has a turbo busa that ran 10s all day, nevermind the fact that the front end was almost never on the ground :lol:

don't take my comment personally...i was pointing out the fact that mkiimaniac's friend seems like a run of the mill "my bike is the fastest shit on the road" type of guy and is all about illegal road racing.

i don't give a shit if you're running 6sec down the strip with a 500hp rocket between your legs.

i'll be more than happy to run circles around this guy on a road course with a 600cc.

i haven't kept up to speed on this month's track days...i normally do fastrackrider's track days at cal speedway in fontana but they don't have any scheduled for the month of october.

i'm going to try to make the thanksgiving weekend track day (nov 26,27). it depends if i buy my old bike back from the insurance and repair/prep it on time. i need an upper/lower fairings, radiator, small misc parts, and new tires before then.

The group I ride with told me there's a track day Oct 10 - 11, Nov 26 - 27, and Dec 10-11. I have to wait to get full leathers. =(

Just tell your R1 buddy to take it to the track. I'd almost bet money that his first pass won't even be in the 10s. Even better if you could find a GOOD rider on a 600 to show him the ropes... :)

I just saw that same turbo busa in Vegas (Billy actually knows the guy through the buick guys).... Most of the Supra guys would have seen him run on Friday if they had paid attention :)

It was a turbo busa that ran 9s with traps at 150mph+... I got to see the bike in the pits finally and it had a stock swing arm.

Theres a guy in town who makes some of the fastest busas in the midwest.. his names Spaz, anyways hes the one who bored it to 1600CC... dont know if its stroked and all that just been told its 1600CC and when I saw it at the track at cedar falls IA it won the quick 8 challenge and was running 8.7 his first pass and I do believe it went 8.5, but I cant remember.
