just do it yourself. I did my valve cover under a hour and a half. The upper intake manifold probaly be a pain though.

How do you do it?

How do you do it?
lots & lots of sand paper. start rough, then keep stepping up to the finer grain, wet sand, & metal polish.
however, doing it this way is pain because it takes alot of time to do by hand.
I can usually go for about 1/2 an hour, then i'll stop because my hand starts to get sore.
the valve covers are easy since they are relatively straight. I would run away from an intake manifold with all those curves and tough to reach spots.
did I mention that you can easily spend over $20 just on all the sand paper alone?
also, its very difficult to bring up to a smooth mirror finish like the pros will do. most of the time you'll end up with a shiny piece that is a little hazy still.
I realized a long time ago that its much easier to spend the $ to get them mirror polished for the special bling.

A coulpe of minutes waxing:

A while later:

Time to finalize with white vax. I use a detreaded tool so i can reach well.
Notice! Always use the SAME tool to one wax! Dont mix!

Im satisfied here, wash with degreaser and then Sonax liquid hardvax.

GREAT POST!! Thanks for sharing your process and the pictures! I prefer to use a variable speed dremel over the drill with attachments. I've never used the nylon, what is the function of that?
We need to make a Polishing, Painting, and Detailing "how to" thread w/ sticky and this would be a great start.
We could provide instructions for color sanding paint, touching up rock chips, how to properly buff out your paint (especially black) and tricks like how to remove curb scrapes from aluminum wheels that is a similar process to the polishing you've outlined. Just did it to a friends viper and couldn't even tell the wheels were ever scraped.

GREAT POST!! Thanks for sharing your process and the pictures!
Notice all!! This is NOT one of my projects. This is a project of a swedish dude (called zooloo @ www.supras.nu)! I just thought that this was such a cool and useful walk-thru, I'd post it here also, I hate taking credit for someone else's work..

Whoever you use just make sure you see some pics or something of his/her work to make sure it is to a mirror finish.
If you need me to polish all those parts in your first post that would take me about 4 days or so...you would probably only be out about $45-$55 or so in shipping expenses, but everything would be to a mirror finish GURANTEED...and you can mark my words here from the forum.;)
Take Care
