How much is it worth?

Sorry if i am kinda reposting but i wasnt getting a couple answers wanted.
I will be looking at an 87' supra turbo targa top w/ 5speed trans. the head gasket was blown, the guy had the head work done, but it just hasnt been put back together yet. i am told it is in good condition.he wants a Grand for it.

IS THIS A GOOD PRICE?
WHAT SHOULD I OFFER THE GUY IF I WANT IT?

Did he get the block done also? Was it knocking when it blew? How long was it run with the HG blown? Hows the tires, Interior, Paint, Targa seals? Any rust in the spare tire well or wheel wells? Are the brakes, transmission and rear end good?

Post pics if you can, that'll help. Value is (sadly) usually based upon the visual aspects of the car, and the mileage.

Well i looked at it and it was all crapped out and moldy inside and the body so so. i figure wiht the money i might have spent on that car i can fix up my 89 turbo (auto) w/ BHG. My and I plan on rebuilding the motor and swapping the auto to a manual. i guess i just won't get the cool targa top...oh well i guess i will save money on the insurance!
