Can anyone give me a dumbed down version of how to setup my Blitz DSBC? i got it hooked up but am stumped as how to set the boost level. why can't it just be straight forward and have fucking PSI setup on that shit? BTW i got it used and didn't come with an instruction manual. I've allready figured out the scramble mode the hard way cause i blew a few exhaust gaskets. I just want to know how they came up with a fuckin ratio setup for boosting. any help is appreciated.
thanks guys

Hey man,
I had the same type of problem in my MR2. I read somewhere that on the stock MR2, setting 25 would be .667 kg/cm2. Well, I just figured I could turn it up to 50 then, which would equate to around 1.2 - 1.3 kg/cm2. Fuck was I wrong!
Basically it's set up based upon duty cycle. Each number you turn it up, you are turning up your boost 1%. For example, my high boost setting was 90%. That ended up being around 20 psi for the turbo I was running. There's also a way to set boost bleed-off. I didn't have mine set, so I fried a cylinder - however, it's built in so stupid fucks like me can have a failsafe of say, 10% (meaning that if I hit my peak warning, the wastegate will bleed off 10% of my boost, or however much I set it to).
I'm assuming you have a boost gauge - because that's more or less your judgement for what psi you're running...the DSBC only reads in kg/cm2, which isn't the same as "bar", so it's a bit hard to translate into psi without a gauge or conversion.
If you need any help, E-mail me. AntiguaT62_1@hotmail.com

well i got the mk3 and haven't really had time to play with it cause i blew an EGR gasket before i put in my boost gauge (yeah, i know, stupid me:rolleyes: ) but i had fucked around with the scramble mode thinking it was the actual settings i needed. set my "P" value at like 4 and "C" at about 3 went out and hit fuel cut and had a boost spike of about 1.25kg/cm2. How the fuck do i prevent boost spike? put in a negative "P" value? my ratio was only set at about 4% on regular mode so that shit was really confusing me. but now it seems to make a little more sense. once i get my EGR gasket back on i'll write you for some more info on what NOT to do :p

Hey man, just wanted to say thats a clean looking car you got there. Don't you and Manny Akim hang together? My car is almost exactly like his, except it seems he has more funds put into his car than i do in mine. only mod is intake and the SBC, i really need to upgrade my brakes before too long tho, brake fade is scaring the shit out of me. anyone know what 1/4 mile times are at 10 psi? i told a guy i was in the high 13's, but hell if i know!!:p

LOL!!:D My name has a "T" in it. Edmis"T"on. It cool tho, my name gets slaughtered all the time. Manny has a phat ass ride too, i've just been doing some random bored searches on the net and seen some pics of you guys rides. What kind of body kits are you two rocking on there? I like that lip and spoiler combo, i just wish it would look good on a red car :( My stupid car needs a paint job its got chips and poc-marks all over the place. So what are you running as far as mods go? I'm waiting on some cash flow before i go with any bigger injectors/AFM. No problem man, i'll keep you up to date on that DSBC.

LOL...sorry man. Edmiston. :D
well, manny doesnt have a kit on his car...the body is completly stock. I have a kaminari kit and aftermarket spoiler.
as far as mods go...we both have the same things. same exhaust, dp, hi flow cat, guages, suspension...:D
the only things that differ are, our boost controllers and he has an auot. He will soon be changing his auto to manual so the car will be able to handle 400rwhp.
