Yeah. why not stand out? I have a 96 n/a 6sp, wing & draw a lot of attention. I want to hear from the the suprastore customer who ran a 13.5 with there n/a bpu kit or see a road test of the 400hp n/a mentioned in a previous forum. N/A Supras need mods too! I would like to see how we match up with the heavier convertible "stang". P.S. There's an SVT Cobra in the Hyattsville area who is a thorn in my side. Is there a black turbo in the area to calm this snorter down?

my car is still a daily driver (gotta keep it legal in Cali), so can't do too much to it:

Greddy MX exahust
K&N drop in filter
Eibach Pro Kit springs
Volk Racing Challenge wheels
Sound system under construction
some ricer cosmetic stuff
(well, i have it all listed in my sig pic)

never 1/4'ed
never dyno'ed
- any suggestions for a good place to do this in So. CA area?

Yes, i ordered it through MVPmotorsports. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but at around 5000 RPM our cars start to lose power. I use to hate to get it above 5000 just b/c it din't go anywhere. With the intake it keeps pulling hard at higher RPM. I will take a picture of it, but it might be a while before i get a chance. It looks pretty good though.

hows it look? is it just the filter portion that attaches after the MAF? and does it use the original MAF? good mod for the buck? thanks.

It looks good. It's a green honeycomb shape. Yea, it just a filter and attaches to the stock MAF. I'll take some pics of it tomorrow. I think it's a good combo w/ an exhaust. But i'm sure it would help a lot for a stcok car also.

Hey Fusion,
Those are some damn impressive numbers man and it sounds like you got the looks to go along with it. You got any pics of the car or dynosheets or timeslips? You would be the best NA version of the car i have seen yet. You can be the solution to the power problems if i can find out where you are gettin that extra power. Sounds like you have the Custom ECU, Pulleys, and Cam Gears on everyone else. So that must be givin you a few horses. Anyway if you had the car throughout all the mods let me know what mod you found the biggest power gainer to be and like Vreux said who did your ECU?
Thanks

Thanx vreux and Tomson. My uncle is an electronic specialist and custom tuned my ECU. Took a long ass time but it was well worth it. The ECU upgrade i believe was the biggest upgrade. I had my car dynoed and it peaked at around 34 more horses, gained mad low end (I've had fuel problems though and have been through two head gaskets and a fuel pump). The pulleys work great also, they give a good amount of hp as well. I fergot to mention a lightened flywheel. It helps alot too. I guess the best thing i advise to do is maintain it to performance. Its not always the mods that can help generate more power. I frequently tune up and chage oil every 1500 and whenever i felt lagging in the performance i get it checked immeadiately. As far as the being the best N/A, i think i still got a long way to go. I don't wanna just hang wit TT's...i wanna leave them in my dust!:D

yea i gotta 5-speed tranny. the ecu is well over $1000 for an N/A i believe. i dont know exactly how much he would charge someone else for it but ill ask him when i see him. yeop ur on target...lower compression, more power, zero lag= quicker timeslips. i've spent a good amount of dinero, but got some pretty daym good stats for what i paid.

yup...he's an expert. got so much tuned variances from the ecu that i've blown two gaskets and a fuel pump already. my car when i first purchased it was a daily driver, but now i just drive it maybe 3-4 days a week. no octane boost. i've used it before and it didnt seem like much of a difference. supreme unleaded 93 is all that goes through my fuel system right now (besides the direct port)

hey guys,
i read his list of mods, and 282 rwhp seems way too high for what is done. unless this ecu is a MIRACLE im gonna hafta highly doubt this until the slip comes out. and the blown headgaskets dont sound too fun either. id average under 10rwhp gain for each of those things he's done, excluding the ecu. and the best stock na ive heard of is around 160-180....thats almost a hundred horses of bolt on power...i just dont see that happening. 10 from the exhaust...5-10 from an intake...the gears, pullies and flywheel is probably another 25-30. that ecu would really hafta give him 30+hp to get him anywhere close to those hp numbers((cant forget the added weight of the body kit and such) to slow things down..). but if you can get me a dyno sheet and figure out how NOT to blow headgaskets...then ill spend the cash.
PS. anyone been to an auto show? i was at the philly one. the vipers gonna give the TT a hassle when it comes out...and the dodge charger concept just might too if it makes it to production....foreign cars need to get their hp into at least the 300's....

Hey guys,
I have a red 95 Supra N/A- heres my mods: Apexi N1 exhaust, K&N intake, new Limited Slip Differential, light weight engine mounts, pioneer deh-p630 head unit, Boston acoustics 5 1/4 components, Boston 5 1/4 coaxials, Fosgate 10" Hx2, Directed 300 watt mono amp, and some more useless shit.lol
I plan to run some nitrous pretty soon. Either that or i can get a job and start saving like mad for a turbo kit. good to see some N/A's!

Dan I just posted in mkiv tech on the lsd's for the n/a. Is yours a Torsen or is it a clutch pack type? What gearing?
N/a's are out there, we have to keep alow profile around vettes,5.0's & LS1's. With our low stress on our engines we could very well be the most plentiful mkiv's years from now. At this point turboing an n/a is looking more practical as the TT's dry up! :(
I like my n/a just the same as I haven't been corrupted by turbo power! Someday when these babyies have 200k mi or more, some one will do a rebuild & some other goodies as well! A 32k lb car with 270-280 (12.5:1 comp, cams, n/a vpc conversion) should give pretty damn good performance & 150+ kmi to boot! :)

not a ferrari this time... hehehe... this kind of stuff usually happens right after i upgrade my car... well, this time a roush mustang... i was surprised that the stang wouldn't pull away... granted there were two people in the car and i was alone, plus traffic was a little heavy... when it got a little clear, they would get on, and then i would get on... we'd get to about 115, then traffic again... but the stang could not pull on me... maybe they weren't trying... i don't know... all i know is that the stang should pull on me and that my car isn't that fast.

ToySupra1:
Here's a pic of the HKS intake from MVPMotorsports. They sent an aluminum flange to match up the intake pipe to the filter. Its not needed for 96+ N/A's thanks to OBDII......

Hey Guys, most of you seem to be MKIV's, I got a 1988 MKIII NA 5 speed. I have had this car since new years eve when i bought it from a buddy of mine that went into the military. Heres what i got done on it so far:
Euro clear front lights, eibach springs, gabriel performance struts, magnaflow street exhaust with a resonator in place of the cat, Vitek braided plug wires with NGK iridium plugs, intake adapter with cone k&n filter, 16x8 concept neeper wheels with falcon 245/50/zr16 rubber. Pioneer 7300 CD player with remote, rockford fosgate power bd1000 amp with 2 power dvc 10's, I will be getting a bomex body kit put on as soon as i am done with school this term. I am not the fastest car in these threads, i know, but i have a supra, and i like it, i get 33MPG on the freeway and i dont have to downshift to pass people. im glad to be here with other people that have good taste in cars!
