what part do you think failed or is worn?
has anyone else had a rear susp rattle like this?
what fixed it?
the story...
i finally tracked down the elusive rattle in the rear suspension on my 86.5. i remove the inside 1/4 trim and removed the TEMS actuator. the top shock bolt was loose on both sides; but tightening it only eliminated the rattle on the left side. so i climbed in the back and had my wife drive down a bumpy road while i watched & listened to the right rear shock. the rattle/thump is definitely coming from the top of the shock/strut - yet the bolts are tight.
btw. i plan to install a pair of tokicos on the rear in the next few weeks so if there are other parts in need of service, i'd like to renew them while i'm in there.
