No Sound After Deck Install...HELP!!

Hi,

I recently installed my clarion deck in place of my factory stereo and used the only harness I could find (toyota 87 and up) After I was done the deck got power, but no sound comes out of any speakers. I have heard that the speakers are stock amplified..could this be the problem? If so, does anyone know the location of the stock amplifier to disconnect, or a good tutorial I could follow? There is a factory amp under the passenger seat. I'm not sure if that harness has the speaker wires on it. If it does and everything is wired right, the stock amp will still need the signal (12V) to be turned on I believe. Provide a little more detail on the wires you wired to the new connector and maybe someone can help figure out what's wrong.

Does the deck turn on??

Did you use a oem adapted for the wire harness?

If so did you connect the remote turn-on fron the head unit to the remote out on the harness?

If not then you still must connect to the remote out, of the car with that of the head unit.

If this does not solve your problem post again.
