when i was installing my e-ttc switch i noticed all this writing on my ecu. it says rod millen motor and then has a sticker in the middle of the ecu that says "off road use only 92+ octane". i am wondering what is in there. did rmm ever make an ecu? i searched it on the forum and didnt find anything.
here is a pic.

Rhys used to sell g-force ecus as a RMM part. It's no different than any other g-force ecu. Actually looking at that one, it is a stock unmodifed ecu because it doesn't have the spacer ring required for the mother board adaptor. I bet it is a Jet ECU as they used to be around the corner from him. Jet= absolutely nothing done to it. They used to claim they modify the stock algorithms but anyone with a brain knows the stock IC chip is non-flashable. Usually all they did is put a resistor on the board to rescale the pressure sensor input so it does not boost cut and charge $700 for it.

it changed the rev limit as well since i rev to 7200 rpms and it taps out at 7400. i have a greddy bcc on there as well. i wonder why he would have 2 controls to stop the boost cut. all mods were done by the previous owner. thanks for the imput btw.

If am going from stock to BPU should i run a Jet ECU or GForce? I herd i will lean out being BPU...
your best bet would be aem

Thatīs not true. You have usually a lean spot at around 4k rpm, but no biggy.
At the top end a BPU 2JZ will richen up like no tomorrow. AFRs will drop to 11 and below w/o any kind of fuel trim.
IMO such a reflashed ECU isnīt the baddest idea for BPU-no need for a BCC and usually also no BC needed anymore. So no hackjob at the harness and always reversible.

you say reflashed ECU... Meaning what? like reprogrammed or just a whole new ECU? Where is this reflashing usually done and how much?
If running basic mods and needing a reliable street car, a stock ecu with a SAFC only making changes at 70% throttle and above is the best bet.

So a SAFC is what i should pick up then for my best option right now untill i buy my AEM?

^^ this is my plan...once i get my FMIC i will be purchasing an SAFC for some minor fuel tuning...i have had safc on all of my previous cars and i liked it...i got some good power gains out of it

I have a gforce and have run 67-80mm turbos on it. Works flawless in my car. Just make sure you know the mods that have been done to it prior to buying it.
