Boost readings???

I finally got my boost gauge installed and have my boost set at 17psi. I have a 94 automatic and when I floor it from a dead stop my car only hits 1 bar in first gear and then 1.2 in second and third gear. Is this normal or should it hit 1.2 in first gear also?? Thanks for any replies....

Normal. the turbo is outrunning the turbos in the lower gears.... mainly 1st and 2nd. I can hit 1.0 in 1st and just over 1.2 in 2nd.
