I think my current Supra (93) is sold and I will probably get a '97-98 6-speed. I know the 97-98 has OBD2 computers, but they seem to actually gain MORE horsepower than a '93-95 with the same mods. I know that there are lots of variables, but do the 97-98 turbo supras respond to mods better than the 93-95?
What are some other differences between the 97-98 & 93-95? I know the head- tail- and turn- lights are different, the wheels are different, the steering wheels are different, how about anything else? i also have to use an O2 simulator on the second O2 sensor if i put a downpipe on, right?
What all mods can I do before having to buy a 1993-95 computer for it, as i plan on doing a lot to the car. any help will be appreciated.....Thanks!

Jeremy-
Here's what I've found different from my '94 to my '97.

Headlights
Tailights
Turn Signals
Redesigned ABS System
Leather Visor
Leather on door panel (around the little pocket)
OBDII
Only '98's come with the 3-Spoke steering wheel
Dash material is a different color/material

That's about all I've found so far, just off the top of my head. I'll let you know if I can think of anymore. Later

So what about the OBD2? How does it respond to BPU and other upgrades??? This is the biggest concern for me.....later...

Jeremy-
You know my car! I have OBDII and the MIL and check engine light is ALWAYS on. I could really care less, but it's no big deal.

IMO, I think '97-98's are alot stronger because they are NEWER.
