View Full Version : MAP MAF throttle sensor position conundrum

Hello,

I live in the UK, and have a 1995 Supra Mk4 J spec N/A auto.
All of the N/A's here are J spec, but all of the workshop manuals are US spec.
This is normally not a problem, less so than trying to read Japanese for sure.
However, US spec N/A engines use MAF, and J spec N/A engines use MAP.

After changing my inlet manifold and throttle body for shiny gas flowed replacements, I have set the throttle sensor position to the MAF setting, but it is in a completely different position.

Engine specs and pics here if you are interested.

I suspect that AU N/A's could be J spec, MAP sensored engines, if so, could someone please give me the correct throttle sensor position setting.

Thank you

David

P.S. I hope this post is in the correct place?

Surely there must be a Supra forum member in Oz who owns a workshop manual?

Have a good New Year

I have search for one ..which lead me to a printing firm in the UK they were the only firm contracted by Toyota to print in english for the uk /Euro version Mkiv .The JDM was never printed in english .

They will no longer print these versions either.
