Is a TT and na automatic transmissions the same?

No i dont believe so i think the TT autos are ALOT stronger my buddy was running around 400 horses on his AUTO TT and i think that they can handle much more then that the NA AUTO i dont believe can handle much more then 400 horses without rebuilding stuff but im not sure i believe one of the big NA-T Daves on here runs an automatic with over 400 horses but i think it may have required some rebuilding.

I know that the gear ratios are different. My friend's TT at 100mph cruises at around 3-3500 rpm's. Mine on my N/A ia around 4-4500! Big difference.

Thats actually the gearing difference in the differential (4.27:1 in the n/a vs 3.77:1 in the TT).
My n/a auto tranny died after 15k miles at 350 rwhp. :(
