I've been toying with the idea of moving to Colorado and I was wondering what were the emission laws?
I'm running a mk4, catless, atompheric wg dump, and with a standalone.
I'm worried if I'm going to run into alot of problem trying to tag and drive the car there? Are the cops a-holes? Or do they mind there own bussiness with modded cars until u act like an idiot?
Thanks

as long as you register your car in the colorado springs area then your good because they do not require emissions. denver on the other hand does. cops are not to bad i guess. the supra attracks alot of attention reguardless. i guess it just depends on what part of colorado that your moving to.

Check it: http://www.aircarecolorado.com/

Whenever I get out that way I'll have the Supra on a stand alone, running E85, no boost, and a dual cat mid-pipe. Hopefully that will be passable. ;)

You have many options of places to register where there are no emissions.

Above link is a good guide.

Cops are ok, if you are nice they don't mess with you. You will get pulled, be polite and they usually let you go. Speed traps are all over! Weather can be wierd, drivers are more dumb in traffic, the mountian driving as well as HPR (high plains raceway 2.55 miles elev changes road racing) makes it all worth the boost lag from the altitude. *Oh you will need a retune up here. I recomend Revoultions tuning colo springs, servion (jeremy) is the one of the top in the nation for tuning.
