So I am about to purchase a new bike and like always I am having a heard time deciding. I am looking for a liter bike. So the ZX10r, CBR1000RR, R1, and GSX are all contendors. I have owned Suzukies and Yamahas before. I have never owned a ZX or Honda before. I have done a considerable amount of research and the more I do the more I am getting burned out. Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that any of the above choices is going to be fine for me. I am more then likely only going to ever utilize 75-80% of the bikes capabilities ever. 90% street driven and 10% track. I like the look of both the Yamaha and the ZX. They are both very streamlined and sharp lined. The CBR and the GSX both have softer lines and look beefier. Anyway, what do you guys think about these bikes. I know more then likely everyone is just going to come in here repping what they currently own but I would like to hear from riders that keep currently with the new models. I heard that the ZXs had engine issues when they first came out and they had to be recalled.

The new ZX10R looks mighty fine if you ask me. From the reviews I've read they're saying it is a big improvement over the previous model and should be a close competitor to the S1000RR for a couple grand cheaper.

they got all the issues worked out with the ZX-10r. its a very powerful bike with alot of gadgets. i'm a yamaha guy but bikes these days are all very competitive. especially if you know you're not going to use its full potential. just get one that suits you best. sit on each one, test ride it if you can, and make your choice. good luck and ride safe my friend.

Like turttletoy said all the bikes are so close now a days that the majority of the riders can't tell the difference.
Yamaha and Kawi have always been known to have the more powerful bikes (slightly) than the others.

Get what feels most comfortable to you.
I've rode pretty much everything, but have always owned Yamaha, including dirt bikes and quads. Yamaha FTW.

I've owned Yamaha's and I've had a Honda CBR1000rr and from experience the R1 puts the RR to shame upstairs however the cbr has more low end power by far...

I just sold a CBR1000RR (was helping a female friend) and it was a joy to ride. I used to own a GSXR1000 and while it was certainly nimble, it didn't feel as connected to the road as the CBR. Granted, it was older. I used to ride ZX-7's back in the day, but ever since I have not been a fan. Only ridden an R6, never an R1.

I ride a Busa, so from an unbias opinion I would go with the CBR1000RR. I rode the one I had for about 2 months and enjoyed every second of it. Cornering that thing was a breeze :)

I really like the new 2011 green and black zx10, I looked at one the other day and I really want one. Wait until all the aftermarket stuff arrives for the new zx10 and IMO it is going to be the fastest liter bike.

I'd say go with the gixxer... but I'm a gixxer guy.

Go with what's comfortable for you. I understand comfort and sport bike don't belong in the same sentence, but trying 5 different models before buying my 750, little things go a long way in the comfort level :)

Great choice, I love the current CBRs, even though my riding experience is fairly limited.

congrats, keep the rubber side down an the shiny side up :) I wanted a CBR phoenix, but came to my senses and decided I didn't like it that much after looking at it for a while... plus the bike just didn't fit the way I wanted.
