View Full Version : I got my 5.25in speakers to fit in the factory housing

It required cutting out lots of plastic plus melting and molding the plastic around.
I had to deepen the housing by melting and stretching plus I had to cut out some notches in the side.
Fit's fairly well.
Next I am going to see if I can fit 6x9s in the rear speaker housings.

unfortunately, no. It doesn't look pretty either. But it is pretty much air tight and fits so that's all that I care about! :D

what speakers did you use?????? what kinda mounting depth did they have?????
can ya get some pics.... i had to do a ton of work to get my cerwinvega 4" to fit... damn them things have a huge magnets on them

I used 2way Infinity Kappas. I don't have the exact specs on them.
I really don't want to disassemble everything again. I am sure every speaker is different, what worked for me might not work for you.
