All right, shooters, the old "Official Gun Thread" is history. It was deleted with some other giant discussions to make some room in Off-Topic.
This will be the new weapons discussion thread. Please keep it 100% firearm-related.

saiga 12 that I converted
Took forever to post, please delete.
This belongs to my wife's dad and his dad got it as a war trophy in WW2. We are just looking for more information about it. It says on the barrel its 7.5x65, which i've found is .32acp? other than that i dont know a damn thing about it.
..and it was everything I could of hoped for. I think I had a good range of weapons for my first time. Here is a quick list.
- AK?? - not sure what model but had 7.62x39 rounds. First firearm I shot - was definitely an awesome experience.
- Colt long nose pistol - .38
- Kal-Tec sub-2000...
Well I thought I would share my latest toy with you guys......
Since I started collecting guns I knew I wanted a early Colt 1911 and a couple months ago I finally found one sitting in a pawn shop. I immediately put a hold on it and was finally able to pick it up today.
1920 Colt 1911...
Thought I'd share with my gun friends :D
S&W Micro90 Weapon-Mounted Light
I didn't see a post about this, but there's an anti-gun agency trying to host a boycott of Starbucks on February 14th. Here's the official FB event promoting a buycott of Starbucks on Valentine's Day!http://www.facebook.com/events/261743290558881/
Just picked this up tonight. Took pics comparing it to the M&P45
Havn't shot it yet, but I've read nothing but awesome reviews. The trigger is pretty gritty, as is typical of the M&P guns, its a shame there's no apex trigger for this 22 model lol
After a thorough first cleaning and oil up...
I think you have pretty much made it once a company makes an action figure out of you. Chris sent me this last week and i have to share. It has already hit the wire. Caltek approached him a while back wanting to make a bad ass action figure and he said he will do it only if it is under his...
It's like Maxim for gun nuts. Picked up the first issue yesterday. Awesome photography, cool articles, and the magazine comes with a fold-out target of a psycho clown. :run:
Would this be worth it?
I do not really need anything that fancy. If someone has seen some deals recently that would be better I am open to suggestions. I have never assembled one but I am not afraid of having to do it either.
Looking at getting a new concealed carry holster, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Currently looking at the Minotaur, but open to any suggestions. If you could also tell why you recommend it as well, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
so im looking at a few options for a concealed pistol. I want something small and 9mm. Ive been looking at the Kel-Tec PF-9 Ruger LC9 and the Walther P99. The Walther is obviously bigger but i love the feel of it. Any suggestions for a pistol around that size and preferably sub 500 bucks. I may be...
Hey guys, I was curious if anyone has used the Truglo TFO ( tritium fiber optics )? they seem like a pretty nice alternative to having one or the other.
I'm not to fond of getting rid of my solid black rear sight and red FO front, but the solid black rear and non-night sight front doesnt really...
Well, it appears I'm way behind on cleaning and lube for weapon maintenance.
For lube i currently use Slip2000 EWL, which from what I'm reading is still one of the best oils out there, But I'm still looking to see what everyone else uses.
for cleaning however, for the last 3 years I've always...
Brand new and never installed. These look just like the Altamont grips that Sig uses, but with no logo for a clean look. Beautiful color and grain!
I will ship them to you for $75.00. Shoot me some PayPal love.
Bad phone pictures, so I included a stock photo of the same grips for a P220 so...
Got my permit a couple of months ago. All I have a few 45cals. Looking to get a good 9mm as a carry gun.
What you all have or recommend?
So my GF has her grandpa's old .380 and it's a fine little gun but she's been itching to get a full-sized one. We went to a range up here, put a dozen rounds each through about 15 guns and found one she likes- Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm.
So we've been saving up a bit, shopping around to find a...
No flames , but is this possible with any semi-auto AR-15 ??
Look, I like tactical stuff just as much as the next guy. If you're not buying junk parts and use it for what it's for, great.
Really? I love lever actions, but this looks stupid as hell to me. Am I being too grouchy?
Well at first I was a little skeptical after doing the research. There were some prior issues with a bad batch of barrels that caused "keyholing" due to them being rifled for .223 . I picked this up off a former brother in arms that served with me. If he wasnt an armorer I wouldnt have bought it. ...
Couldn't resist picking up a few boxes of these .
Hornady ZombieMax , .223 REM 55gr Z-max
I haven't seen too much buzz about this year's show. So, who is going this year, and what are you looking forward to seeing?
sold both locally
We dont have a survival/camping forum, so it was either ask here, or ask in the hobbies section, I figured i'd ask here for now.
I'm looking for one of the 38 oz Stainless Steel Nalgene bottles. The Widemouth style With the straight sides, not the " backpacker " model that has the tapered...
Hey guys, I been training a dog at the PD I work for the past 12 weeks and I hit the street on Monday with him. I was issued a TLR-1 light for my glock 22. I don't have very big hands and its not very easy to switch the light on and off when I'm on target or at the ready.
Do you guys know if...
So I am thinking of this gun for my next purchase. Anyone have any experience with it or with H&K in general?
Local shop has a Smith and Wesson M&P in .357 Sig for $425. Seems like a good deal but I don't know much about the .357 Sig round. I've read a little about it but I was wondering if you guys had some personal experience with it. How do you like it? How's the recoil? Accuracy? Etc. I often shoot...
Going to the range with some buddies tomorrow, and also in the market for a good handgun so want to try at as many as I can. Here's the list of what they have available:
Hand Gun Rentals $5.00
Bobcat - 22LR
U22 Neos - 22LR
84 FS Cheetah - 380 Auto
92 FS - 9mm...
How does anyone manage to do this? I was out shooting yesterday and lost my earplugs in the woods so I decided to just go without. Well 3 shots later and my ears were ringing so bad I just gave up. Now this morning I still have slight hearing loss in my left ear. How do soldiers train/fight...
I bought this light before our last deployment and I never used it, didnt even open it. Why you may ask? Because we were issued one. Figures right?
I opened the package whe I got back to the states, just to take the pictures and now its packed back up and back in the vault.
The light has 2...
I've had a dpms panther classic with a fixed carry handle and 20" heavy barrel for probably 13 years now. The gun hasn't seen probably more than 1200 rounds and is in near mint condition.
I've been getting back into shooting a lot more recently but would like more of an m4 or tactical style AR....
Ok well I purchased my first Glock 2wks ago, it being a 21C (45) Before that I have shot Glocks a few times, never really liked them. But I had some extra cash and found my 21c for $400 at a local Scheels. Needless to say I absolutely love it, even though its a full size I carry it daily. It is a...
