Will car start without Cold Start Injector time switch?

I broke that darn cold start injector time switch off when I tried to disconnect it's wire from the water jacket housing. Since they're so danged expensive, ($250 CAN) I am looking for one used, but that may take awhile. In the meantime, will the car start and run without it? Like is the switch only needed in low temperature starts?

    Thanks!

    You're in luck.

    Hello Jamie,
You can have mine, if you feel the need...but I've run for ~3yrs w/o it & never noticed any difference in startup at all. I consider it a disruption to flow, & if thine eye offends thee, pluck it out.

    Take care.

Thanks Larry! Coming from you that is a very trustworthy opinion. How did you plug the hole? I wonder if my Canadian winters would need the switch to be functional (although I live on the coast so it rains more than it snows)? And are you really willing to part with your old one?

Thanks for the good info, that really allieviates some anxiety.

    Jamie
