If you just want feedback the general forum would be better, but if you are looking for rides to get an idea for yourself I would contact Dan(blklabl) with a T78 or Everton(whisky) who is in the process of doing his T88H.

    T78 - 66mm
    T88 - 70mm
T88H - 70mm bigger turbine (this is what I'm told)

    laggy
    laggier
    laggiest
GK - all that is lag

I like the turbos, great top end, but there are turbos who can make the same power with less lag. Some of the best bang-for-the-buck turbos on the market though. Not a bad choice.

I have the t78, i feel its too laggy, but gives a serious kick in the ass above 4500rpm to where ever you want to shift.

I have used all of them T78-T88-T88H-T88H GK. They are all good turbos. My current one is T88H in my lil 4 banger with over 900 to the wheels.

Talking about lag, those are some LAGGY turbos, not to mention their power levels are not that high to start with. And to end, they are WELL OVERPRICED !

Find out what your goals with your car are first b4 you choose what type of turbo to drop into your car.. I wouldn't recommend the T-88 or T-88H for the street without juice...

I would as long you are rev @ 8,000rpms. However, if you want full boost at 3,000rpms then this are not the turbos for you. Make awesome power at a lil higher rpm level. (Lag is overrated in this turbos, also if you are around town...its called downshifting... )

Couldn't have said it better myself. Most of the people who complain about lag have not driven or even rode in a T88H car .

I have the T-78, and Lag is definitely overrated. In my old setup, i used the T-63, and it felt amazingly different with the 78. Granted, maybe an extra 300RPM's of Lag, woooptieeeFuckin DOOO!

i met a kid at the track on sunday... has a red supra w/ a T88 kit on his red AT... he was able to get it boosting off the line and almost spooled out of the hole. he was actually in the other lane running against matt scranton's street car. He brake boosted a little to hard and just smoked the slicks right out of the hole... and it was matt's best run of the day. the kid ran a 10.8 before this one.... but bogging out of the hole. it would have been a VERY good race if the kid had been able to feather it out of the hole.... the boost came on pretty well for being as large as it was. he said his spooled at like 4800 IIRC. i dont know what else had on it besides some bad ass Ray's wheels.

I run the Greddy T-78 turbo. I'm happy with it. It spools the same as when I had stock twins in TTC mode (full boost 4800). I used to run the tiny little TSO4 turbo. I had fully boost by 3650 rpms with that turbo but I'm happier with the sledge hammer power the T-78 puts out when it spools.

the red supra your talking about is james, he has a t88h, 4inch dp, no cams, vpc/afc i believe, built automatic(not th400), he was also on a 93/104 mix and he told me he makes about 485 close to 500 rwhp on pump or something like that, running 18 psi on 275 bfg drag radials, I agree with what you guys are saying also lag is very overrated, and I have a 76mm and i dont notice lag really. James also has an auto so its easier for him to build boost at the line, I can build boost as well I have a 6spd with a 2 step, i can build about 10 psi but if i try to launch with it i just pretty much do a burn out with the tires, even with ets , get the t88h if anything

^^^ That'd be me! I basically have everything listed above except the gas was a 93/100 mix. I also have a 4k stall and no spray. It takes a little bit of time to spool the turbo at the line for me because of my TIGHT ASS stall, but when i do launch with boost built i do nothing but smoke the hell out of the tires, like on my last run against Matt

Since my car is an auto it really doesn't bother me when i'm driving around town. It's not like i'm going to spool up every where i go and its like Jesus said...just downshift if need to (since most of you have 6spds anyways!) Hope that sheds some light on it.

Glad to here that cause everyone keeps telling me I should have went with something else, don't know BUT i didn't listen to them, the way I figured it, it was working for old school and worked fine now all of a sudden people are complaining...

I'll let you know in a week or too my number and experience i've been waiting on a part for 3 weeks now to complete my setup, so i have no info.. as of yet BUT i'm looking forward to it though, and expect good #'s with my setup....

To me this is a street car not drag so i'm not worried about a little lag and spooling out the hole... I actually chose the turbo b/c of Jesus and Titanium from seeing specs and run from their cars it convince me to stick with my original plan with the t88H...

Glad you stick to your original plan. The T88H is a good turbo and if you have problems launching...2 step is your answer...no more problems.
