Look how many cars I raced against.....NEW PICS!

I was invited today to spend all day at Pacific Raceways on an open track event.

This was sponsored by the Forza Group. Forza Group is a Microsoft game design division that just developed a new car video game for thier Xbox. Today was the day to bring out as many cars as possible that are in the game. Since there is 236 cars in the game, I think we fell pretty short.

The best eye candy for me was a Carrera GT, and the Enzo. I havnt seen this many exotic cars in one place ever! I estimated that there was almost $5 million worth of cars here (only 26 cars).

    Pretty fun day for me~!

    Looks like an awesome time!

Were you disappointed driving home in the supra after seeing those really expensive exotics?

Wow! That is amazing Stu. How did your car and driving skills stack up on track against some of these monsters?

I was impressed by the skills of some of the drivers. The Enzo and GT drivers were very experienced. They actually could have kissed my rears if they wanted too. I was cornered after one session by the Carrera guy to comment on my ability to keep up. I made it around 10 times, not once letting him by. Both the GT and the Enzo have almost 440mm Carbon 1-1/4" brake discs. NEVER any brake fade there. My only saving grace was them not wanted to "hurt" there $700K cars.

One of the toughest ones to keep up with were the STI's. I almost lost it 3 times, so I eventually slowed things down.

    Time for R compounds now

wow, that looked like it would have been a fun event. Am i wrong or does that Enzo belong to a microsoft guy? i heard some bigwig there bought one awhile back, probably same for the Carrera GT.

funny thing is, all that money into those cars, and you still made more HP than most of them

I believe the Enzo is Greg Whitten's car. He is an old Microsoft guy and has an extensive Ferrari collection. He also has an F50, F40, 250 GTO and some very nice American cars such as an original Ford GT40. His warehouse full of fast expensive cars is in Bellevue.

I will host a small video here in a day or so. Waiting for for it to get ripped. Marshall was unable to attend due to just arriving home from the Omaha Type "R" expo. I think our own mr "quick" attended in his ae86.

Nice. I was on the forza recon team testing that game last summer. I did see my former boss, Dan Greenawalt, in one of those pics.

Yep -- Steve, Lori, and I hung out most evenings and weekends while we were there. It was great to see him.

Yes -- please point me toward that vacuum bleeder. I must own one.

As for Marshall -- yeah man -- I was there with him. Talk about a pain in the rear.

a hint for bleeding ABS equipped brake systems. Find your ABS Relay and get a wire with the proper connectors to jump the relay to activate the ABS system. A: you can get a buddy to help you. B: you can try to do this yourself.

Crack the system open at the furthest away brake, and then have your friend activate the ABS relay. This will bleed your system faster than any vacuum bleeder. Then close while it is still active.
