    safc tune numbers

in a 4th gear pull i put down 11.2 - 11.6 afr. safcII tuned for 4k and above.
    then i did a 3rd gear pull, it was 10.4 - 10.6 afr..

    Is this normal???

Not sure if it should differentiate (sp?) that much. But when I do diff gear pulls the a/f's change too. I normally tune to 3rd gear though. Because that's where most of the pulling is.

i used to tune from 3k rpm and up. then i read somewhere that tuning below 4k rpms is bad because the ecu is in closed loop until 4k rpms. therefore it can affect the afr's everytime you do a pull. im not sure if this is true though...

You are OBDI, so it won't affect you. It's only for the hotwire cars.

Ever wonder why OBDII's convert to OBDI?
