Car is missing after cleaning engine

Sorry for the NewB question, but I got some PS fluid in the engine bay and it smoked slightly so I was going to clean it off. No problem. I sprayed the engine degreaser and waited, then washed it off. I cranked it up and it didnt sound the same. It was idling low (550-650 jumping around sort of). I went right down my street and it was sort of bucking on me. It would go, then miss I guess, and then take off again. Friend of mine from this board says its prolly a fouled plug. Should I go ahead and get new plugs or is there anything else that could be causing it. Thanks.

If you got water in the area where the plugs are it has no way out and will short the plug wires. There was a thread here once where a guy washed his engine and drove it like that to dry it off. His cat caught fire and burned his car up.

I guess I got lucky. We had someone detail the 88T and there was water in the plug journal.... drove it for a while trying to figure out wtf was wrong. by the time we figured out it was just water, the car was running like champ again.

Your plugs are fouled due to water getting in that spark plug gally.

I did this on my honda prelude a few years back, good times!

Well we replaced the plugs and its like night and day. Really woke it up. Iridiums had been in there from the previous owner at least for a year if not longer. I'll get pics up when I get the digital back. Thanks Justin727

No problem! Got to clean things up while stuff was off so it wasnt bad. Not only that but those iridiums really needed to be changed. Even before you got water in there with the iridiums the new plugs were like night and day. Got some power back you lost over the old plugs. Woke her up! Very pleased to feel boost agian! I miss it!

Yea next time I'll just let the extra PS fluid burn off instead of cleaning it
