    cold starts.

I have been out country for a couple of months and I finally got back. My supra was never started during this period. before I stored it in my garage, I had it at sound performance; they replaced the spark plugs and valve gasket, they also looked over the car to make sure everything is ok. I drove it around for a little while and then i put the car away and left the country. Now when I try to start it i have to hold the ignition on for about a minuet before it starts. but after the car is warmed up it starts fine. what could be the problem? I suspect fouled plugs?
Here is a list of some of the mods i have: a 4k TQ, Trans cooler, BPU kit, AEM ECU with all the sensors and installed & tuned by sound performance, HKS FMIC, BL harmonic balancer, Walboro fuel pump, PHR alternator, Blitz turbo timer, a Blitz SUS air filter, EGR block off plate. I don't have a CDI for the AEM.

My guess is that maybe your fuel is evaporating while you are out and about and it takes some time cranking the car over before new fuel is pumped forward. Had this happen to me once when I had a small vaccum leak in the intake manifold gasket. Especially during hot days.

Bump up the Warm Up Enrichment Table down in the lower temps. It's under fuel<advanced fuel<Fuel Trims<

I tried that adjustment but this still happens only when the car is cold, or i haven't started it up for a day. but once its warm it starts up agian in a second, it also starts up quickly after i go to a restaraunt and chill for a bit then go out it starts up fine. weird huh?

Your start extra vs coolent temp table needs adjusting for the cooler temps. What's the weather been like when you cold start? What start extra % do you have now in that table for those temps?

Your problem is in your fuel pump, or your regulator. What is happening is that the pump or regulator is allowing your fuel to bleed back to the tank too quickly while it sits.
While sitting, the regulator and pump are supposed to hold fuel in your fuel line (at least for several days). So when the fuel bleeds back into the tank, your line is empty and it has to be reprimed, which can take some cranking time.
To fix the problem, replace the pump or regulator with new ones. An easier way is to wire the pump as per the 12v mod. This way you can just turn your ignition on for about 10 seconds before starting and it will prime the line long enough for fuel to get up to the rail, then it will start right up. AEM only primes fuel for a second, maybe 2.

sorry to hijack the thread, but i think im in a similar situation, but my car starts right away. I let the car warm up for about a minute and start driving. When i get into second, it starts misfiring pretty bad. The misfiring stops once ive been driving around for a few minutes. Mods are BPU. Diagnosis anyone? Thanks in advance.

it seems like both of you guys have tunning issues-that's all, like somebody mentioned---> check your cold start map/cells, you might want to submit your map to someone here on SF(Black Magic) or on aem forums, Rob NJ.
