why do i have to push the brake pedal so far down?

i have to really get on the pedal for it to brake.
would it be my master brake cylinder?

I As well have SS braided lines and I have no mushy pedal whatsoever.

either air in the system, ur leakin fluid everywhere, or your pads/rotors are way below minimum thickness

hey bro,

we just got this supra. and the pads have a lot left.
the front rotors seem warped but we're going to replace those asap.
whenever i pump the pedal it gets stiff. i can hear a sound coming from under the hood when im doing this also. thanks for your input guys :)

If your brake come back after pumping the pedal, that sounds like master cylinder. I noticed you said you have a bad rotor, is that confirmed. I ask because if the car has power brake assist (not sure if they do) the pedal will go down near the floor and as you come to a stop you might feel a pulsating and the pedal will push back against your foot. The pulsating feels simular to a warped rotor.
