Ooh, ooh, ooh, do tell! Gun show?
I am leaving early Saturday morning and will arrive in Columbus around 2pm EST.
On a side note, my friend bought a P22 last night. By the time we got back to the range it was dark enough that we could not see the sights. This didn't seem to matter tho, I still heard a ping nearly every time I shot at a 4" wide metal post. So would I be able to shoot that well without sight with other Walthers, or was this some type of beginners luck? Or a third factor may be that the .22 has no recoil to be scarred of
What type of show is it? Because I'm heading through Cols on the way to Akron Saturday.

On another note to possibly get you in more trouble on the trip Dan. When you are traveling the Columbus you may find that Ohio Rapidfire is not to far off of your route. They are open until 5 on Saturday, and everything (except machine guns) is 10% off of whatever it is listed at
Not a big Crapidfire Ohio fan. I have seen a few of their HK clones, as was not impressed at all. They have a bad rep at AR15.com, too...
Oh, yikes! I didn't know that I only contributed $67 to their business for my newest rifle.
They had an HK-53 there, at least I think that is what is was. I didn't really get to close to it so I do not know if it was a clone or not. I am an HK fan anyway, so I wouldn't spend my money on a clone.
Okay, lately I really, really want an FN PS90. Can anyone talk me out of it? Ammo is expensive, but I love the small overall size, ergonomics, etc.
There seems to be a sizeable dispute on the rounds effectiveness against humans and finding actual shooting data is tough. I know the Japanese SOF that performed the embassy rescue in Peru a few years back had P90s and made short work of the hostage takers... but shoot someone in the head with anything and you ruin their day. Yes, shot placement is of course more important than caliber... but assuming I shoot COM or they are moving and I wing them, etc. I want them to know they got shot.
If I don't get the PS90 I might spend the $$ on a DSA OSW SBR instead. Now that will let them know they got shot.
The other concern with the PS90 is the politics... they seem to be high on the list of the gun-grabbers.
Finally... anyone seen them for less than $1600? I don't care about color -- actually like the OD better than black I think.
Actualy, I'm waiting to see what happens to the price of 5.7 once Wolf gets into the game. If they can load it hot and keep it "cheap" I might jump on board, just because the PS90 is such an interesting gun. That or go with the Rhineland Arms version, which I actualy prefer abit more. I WILL be buying FN's SCAR, the civi announcement is expected at shot 07 in about two weeks.
It looks like they took the info down off of their sight until they have all the bugs worked out of it. But it uses an AR lower and the upper takes the PS90 mag, ejects out of the mag well. It's a realy neat looking gun that can get you into the 5.7 game for about 1/3 of the price.
Also, I couldnt find the golf ball launcher link. But they had soda can launchers and racquet/tennis ball launchers too. Maybe someone acan google fu it up.

Your IGF looks like a damn fine rifle, but my stupid as will pay for the name
If you are not going to go SBR on the PS90, don't get it. There, that is all I have to try and talk you out of it. If you do not rule out the possibility of the SBR on the PS90, then by all means get one!
I have 63 day to decide on which USP Tactical to get, of find a MK23. My plans are to also send in paperwork for a can. The problem is that if I get a USP tactical, which is most likely do to the new primary market availability, do I get it in .40 S&W or .45 ACP? I was recently told that the 45 is a sub sonic round, while the 40 is not. Giving the 45 a big jump in the race. I assume that since the 45 is naturally better for suppressing that is why the Mark 23 is chambered in said round too. Alrgiht, thanks for listening to me think any input on my thoughts would be appreciated.
Ah, the gunshow today didn't involve too many guns for me, but knives on the other hand
I was looking at the Mark V and noticed this, is this bad?
Actually the only thing 5.7x28mm resembles .22mag is in recoil.
5.7x28mm is basically a light .224 bullet in a smaller cartrige. Acts ballistaclly simialr to .223.
Out of my Fiveseven pitstol, 5.7x28mm travels at 2100 fps. I currently buy ammo for 17 a box.
Rhineland has been promising the ar57 for almost 2 years with no completion in sight.
Wolf will prob not be out until late 2007 if not 2008.
Hey FYRARMS, would you happen to have any more pics of your "reach out and touch someone" rifle? I remember seeing it in the old gun thread, but I'm not sure if I've seen it in this one. she definately was a beaut.
Where is the cheapest place to by quality 5.56 at the moment?
Ballisticaly (not it's terminal ballistics), it's a much flatter and more accurate than 22mag. But in terms of tissue damage. It leaves much to be desired...
It's a neat concept, but I personly wouldn't trust my life on it.
Well, I wouldn't mind having either one of the discharge there gases in my general direction.
But I don't understand why you call the first on a G3k clone Instead of something more like a HK91k? I always thought G3 refered to a select fire capability, and while you still live in Illinois I think it is safe to say you are not going to be getting a sear for that bad boy.
