It depends on if anyone cares enough to report it.

My car was park outside of my house for 6+ months. One night I had to park my acura outside the street and I got a parking ticket. The acura was park right behind my supra. You can try buying a parking permit from the city. I can buy a parking permit from my city for $1 a day or $44 for the whole year. If I want to get a annual parking permit. I need to submit $44 dollar and a application to city hall. Afterward, the city will send out a inspector to your house. The inspector will check if there are any parking space left. If you pass you'll get the permit, but if you don't they'll take your $44 dollar.

All depends on your neighbors and if anyone cares.
I have had cars sit in front of my house for months before, and it wasn't a problem because my neighbors didn't mind.

I also have gotten a warning notice on my car when it was parked for a few days at my friends house, so it all depends on where you are.

really depends on your neighbors. my friends car got towed in upland right at 72 hours. my car got a warning on it for less then 24 hours. but in rialto the people next door to my cousin park their old chevy flatbed with trash on it in front of my cousins house with registration that hasnt been paid since 1999. numerous complaints have not even gotten the car towed.
