The issue Mixedboy is having (that I didn't see anyone else doing a USDM swap mention) is that connector IJ2 (white 16 pin) from the TT harness does not have a matching plug on the NA body harness in the right kick panel junction box. The connector carries O2 signals, cruise, auto NP switch signal and TRAC. Odd thing is that the Toy wiring book indicates IJ2 being present in the NA. It's not the first time I've seen errors in the manual though.
My own experiences with the many that I've done has involved complete harness swaps from donor cars, so this is a new one on me. However, that wouldn't affect starting, so I suspect there is another issue in play there. Once I get the car down here, I can troubleshoot it more thoroughly.
Has anyone else had that same issue? I'm wondering if there were versions on NA cars that do have that IJ2 connector...
I'll try to get a pic of the connector loaded up as well.

    I have a 96 NA Auto.
Planning on doing the NA>TT Swap/
    USDM GTE with Auto Tranny
    Question about the Differential
You need an Auto TT driveshaft, and an Auto TT Diff.
Do I need the whole pumpkin or just the differential.?

Do I have to buy Transmission Flange and Differential Flange

may need a whole drive shaft and diff, I have only messed with 6 speed swaps so I'm not 100% sure what it takes on the auto. I thought a front half shaft was all that was needed, but after I spoke to a friend a bit ago, he said that he ended up swapping the rear end and the entire drive shaft...

hey bro, any luck with this? this isn't the first time I've read this issue with people's cars not cranking after this swap and it makes me nervous.

Does anyone have the link to the Auto TT trans plug that needs to get "jumped" between two wires after an Auto TT to 6 spd. swap??

Also, does anyone have any other tips that may not be widely talked about when performing the Auto TT to 6 spd. swap??

I am trying to get as much valuable information in this sticky as possible.

Exactly my issue, no crank, no start, all the indicators and a fuel primes, but no crank, I have tested all the pieces leading from the battery, fuse, STA, IGN, ECU, Switch, but something in between IJ2 and the Starter Relay is not connecting. After looking at the pins according to the position in the TSRM Electrical GE/GTE the pins are not in the TT engine harness.

Be awesome to get some resolve out of this, I dont really wanna bypass because i want to keep my theft and alarm systems working.

    thanks in advance.

Loooking for some help. In the process of doing a 94 NA US Supra to TT 6 speed swap and keeping the 5 speed rear end for time being. Just posted pics on the build tread. The NA motor and transmission have been removed. I purchased a JDM TT motor and 6 speed trans. I have been reading the threads, but there are so many different methods when using the 5 speed rear end / diff. Two questions. One - is is after lenghtening the JDM harness is any thing else required for it to be fuctional with a US car? Two - what driveshaft is needed to work with the stock rear end? I've been told that the front half of a 6 speed TT driveshaft is needed then mounted to the rear half of a TT auto drive shaft with auto TT flange ? Will the 5 speed driveshaft not work with the front half of the TT driveshaft ?

Does anyone know if the jdm 6speed harness body plug will plug into 93 NA MKIV 5speed? I'll be using the jdm 6speed ecu also. harness already been extended.

i believe the ECU doesnt connect to the JDM wiring harness. currently i swapped over from 95na 5 speed to TT 6 speed jdm. i just left it the way it was and stuck with the JDM ecu. ofcourse you would rather stick with the jdm ecu because the turbos are different. correct me if im wrong.

What does this mean? I can't keep my W58 when I do the swap? If I can use my W58 and have just read this wrong.... Can someone please tell me what ECU I will need. I will be purchasing a JDM 2JZGTE with ECU, Wiring Harness, Ignitor, and I'm not using the automatic it comes with. Thanks bunches.

I have no idea what that means...ahaha. If you want to keep the w58 for now and want just a plug and play then you would need a 6spd main engine harness and 6spd ecm. If you want to save some money you can modify the 5spd harness or send it to someone who can do it and you would need a 6spd ecm. Or you can do what some have done is to repin 2 pins in the harness so you can keep the automatic ecm to work with a manual tranny.

I believe that is not entirely true, most keep the JDM ECM because it is MAP base tune from the factory. Compared with the USDM 6spd ECM that is MAF base tune from the factory. ^_^

Are you gonna stay with jspec harness and ecu or convert it over to usdm spec? Maf, injectors, harness, ecu? Going 6 speed or auto? I went usdm since I didn't want to deal with getting the harness extended by someone, and having to wait for it. Plus my motor came with usdm turbos, injectors, but had a jspec harness. Was lucky to find a harness on the forums and an obd-2 ecu locally. I had no issues what so ever with anything.

I have a couple of questions I am really not clear on. If someone could provide a couple of answers, that would be awesome. Go ahead and flame me if the questions seem dumb or repeated, but I did read through the thread.

1st - My car is a 97' NA auto car and I am doing a USDM TT swap with auto transmission. Why can't I use the factory NA drive shaft? Is the TT transmission longer/shorter than the NA trans? I am not changing out the rear end at this point and time. I also heard you can use the SC400 driveshaft? Basically I need to know what drive shaft to use, and why I cannot use the factory NA one.

2nd - I am having a really hard time finding an Automatic wiring harness. Anyone got any ideas?

3rd - Can someone go into a little bit more detail about how to get the rear O2 and cruise all hooked up? I cannot have any check engine lights on, as I have to go through emissions.

I think that is all for now. I appreciate any information anyone provides!
