i been looking around to see what changes were made by the factory on the 99-01 all i noticed was the gauges. can some shed some light on this. also would it be possible to change the gauges from an american supra to the ones in the 2000 model. the one with the boost gauge?
i kinda think it wouldnt work since theres most likely diff wires going to the gauages. maybe a JDM wirring harness witch would be reall hard to work with if you car isnt RHD.but you never know
Last model year was 2002 in japan but yea the gauges are for a RHD car depending on how they are positioned and wired. I didn't know there was a tiptronic, interesting.
I was wondering if it was imported to any other countries such as UAE and other middle east nations. What was the price tag on the 02 models in US$'s? Also I have seen the state charts for the US import Supras but not the total production #'s over all.
a JDM gauge cluster can be used on a USDM Supra. Got a buddy who did it. Hell if i understood how he wired it up though. but it looks pretty bad ass to see it, but kind of weird also since it sticks out the dash verse sitting under it.
You could, but it's not worth it, and they are ugly. You'd have to wire it in yourself as it's not going to just plug in. It will also be in km/h. PITA, but you can make anything work if you want to spend the time on it.
thanks for the input. i dont think there ugly i mean its the modern version i think they look sweet. i was lookin at an 01 supra they got for sale here. i think it has that tiptronic on it.
