Cops rolls up to me and says..

Soooo.. I'm sitting in some traffic last night because of local roadwork and it's dead stop for a few miles. I see a cop start creeping up behind me in the median and stops at my door. I'm thinking I'm going to get several equipment violations, exhaust, no front plate.. etc Instead he turns and looks at me and says. "Brooo you gotta take the top off on that thing"..

I was like.. I didn't even know what to say, I said something about the debris and rocks and he nodded and drove off.

Thought that was kinda cool for local PD.
    :buttrock

Anyone else have positive experiences with PD?

A bunch of us were down at the beach and this cop rolls up to us and stops. We are all like shit here we go. He then tells us how he's been searching for a supra with no luck, and how he just bought a busa. He then said if I ever see you guys racing, I'm not even gonna try to catch you.

Haha, nice Cop. I was at a traffic light one day I noticed a cop car behnd me at a little distance. He was pointing his cell towards my car and then he had a small smile on his face. I think he was taking a pic of my rear bumper.

Heres a good one... true story 100%.

Back a few years ago before i purcased my hardtop, i had a Black Z32 TT 300ZX. It was a real clean car making around 500whp. Anyway, i was pulling out of a side street onto the main highway on a nice clear night w/ very light traffic so i decided to do a lil pull... I was somewhere around 110 when i hit the breaks and then i saw them. The infamous blue and red lights from an undercover Camaro!!! He was behind me the entire time i did the pull. So, he pulls me over and to my suprise the cop is about 60 years old. He didnt even ask me for my license and all that jazz, but he said the words i thought id never hear out of a cops mouth ever.

"Boy, that car really moves out son." "If you want to drive like that you should join the force and get one of these Camaro's so you dont get your self in a whole heep O trouble.. Take car of your self now"

and he walked away. He was the best cop ever. and i love him.

    Best Cop ever

We were travelling home after a night on the piss(Drinking heavily) when we were pulled over, the cop asked my mate to blow in the breathalyser and went WAY over, as he started his spiel to him about the dangers there was a whole lot of swearing and bashing against the inside of the boot(trunk) from the guy inside... the cops ran around the car after draggin my mate out of the car and asked us all who was in the boot..We answered that it was the skipper(designated driver).... the cops pissed themselves laughing and escorted us home - NO TICKET, NO NOTHING....Best Cops ever!!

I love these stories. Everyone always complains how bad cops are, but sometimes you will find a cool one too.

A few years back I stopped at one of the malls in Orland Park, IL and as soon as I got out of the car a cop pulls up to me and points to me to come over to his car. On a side note, Orland Park's cops are known to be dicks. Anyways, i go over to his car and he proceeded to say:"Is that thing as fast as they say it is?" I really did not know what to say. So, we started bullshitting for a while, he asked me about the car and if I ever race it. Obviously I told him that I only race at the track and never on the street His exact words were: "Oh you can race on the street, just don't get cought!" I was floored. My girlfriend is had this look on her face like, "Did this just happen?"

Anyways, that is my story and I am sticking to it!

One night I was out crusing the local scene, which at the time was a pretty busy street called Montgomery here in ABQ. I was minding my own business going the limit in my 399whp 7M MK3 just seeing what cars were out there, when I see a police car in the rear view. I get both hands on the wheel and keep my eyes forward and just hope that the cop hadn't seen my 1st-2nd pull a couple of intersections back. (Cops here are known to be HUGE dicks, especially on Montgomery)
The Police car then pulls right up alongside me, perfectly pacing me, and follows me like that for maybe a minute. I'm kinda freaking out wondering what the heck is going on.
Then the cop throws a rev at me TWICE, which being auto made the whole car buck and pull a bit ahead of me. Now I'm really not sure WTF is going on - so I finally look at the car and the officer and his partner are both grinning at me and the driver gets on his PA and says 'That was a nice launch back there kid, but my Motorola's faster so take it to the track'
I just looked dumbfounded and they chuckled at me again and sped off.

I was in a train station parking lot at about midnite because it was a lookout spot and me and the old lady are arguing, I get pissed and start doing donuts. About the 5th donut I stop and the dust starts to clear and directly infront of me is cop with the spot light on. He gets me out and cuffs me, starts searching my car, asking questions and about halfway through the car his radio comes on and next thing I know he takes his cuffs and tells me its my lucky night not to come back and leaves me and my girl wondering what the hell?

Good thing like that has only happened to me once.

I was going to Autozone and saw a cop behind me. He passes and I thought just went on his way. I pulled into Autozone, got some fluids, came out, and I saw him down the road parked on the median. I was thinking, "Ah fuck me, he is just waiting to pull my ass over for something."

So I try to scoot out of there before he catches up and get home in time (live about a mile from there). I see him hauling ass up to me, and he pulls me over. I was worried because I forgot to get my wallet so I didn't have my license, just my debit card, and I didn't put my new registration on the car yet either.

He walks up to me, and just says, "Man you are in big trouble", then walks back to his car. I was like I'm getting arrested for no reason! Well he comes back, stares at me for like 6 seconds, then says, "Man I'm just kidding. I just wanted to check your car out. I have a 300ZX that I have been working on, and I see you driving around up here pretty often." I was just like what the hell man!

I bullshit with him and go home, and he then pulls me over like 20 seconds later. Hahahahaha. I was like what the hell now. He says my license plate is registered to a truck, and was just going to ask me about it. That was news to me as I have had that plate since I owned the car (3 years at the time), and i don't know what to say about that. For some reason he still just told me to go home even though I had no proof of anything, hell, even ownership.

That was the last time I ever had good luck with the police though. It's all been shit after that.

Sorta okay story........but I was at my friends shop and he wanted a ride in my car so I said why not. I go over to where there is nice straight away. I roll from a stop normal and then gun it a few feet later, I hit about 80-90 and stop at the light. Next thing you know I notice a highway patrol behind me. Pulls me over and says, " I know your car has a bunch of modded stuff so Im not even going to look in your hood" He gets my insurance, license and starts heading back to his patrol, half way there he stops and then goes back to my car. "Let me have your keys" I was like WTF. He thought if I ran there was no way he would catch me. dumb since he has my info. Well he goes back to my car and only gives me a ticket for going 45 on a 35. I just thought that was kinda cool since he didnt get me more any mods, reckeless driving, or any other crap.

True that, been pulled over four times, haven't gotten an ounce of leeway any of them.

Few years back, a good friend of mine wanted to bring his clean ass, low mile, 6sp single MKIV and his Heffner TT Viper coupe to SILV. He asked me to help him by driving one of the cars. Being the freind that I am, with no regard for my own inconvenience, I agreed to assist in the manner requested.

We got a late start and subsequently encountered some significant rush hour traffic on the north side of town. We stopped for dinner in hopes that the traffic would ease by the time we were finished. A local officer was in the same establishment, taking a dinner break with what we assumed was his wife and daughter. He winds up leaving a few minutes before us. We head out to the lot. It had been over 100 degrees, and since we had been stuck in stop-and-go driving prior to stopping, my friend decided to leave the hoods up while we ate (the cars were in view from inside the establishment).

As we walked out, a riced out Honda Accord was pulled over by a local police cruiser right into the same lot. As this was happening about 30 yards from where we were attempting to saddle up, it was easy to note that the officer was the very same individual we had seen in the restaurant. Moments later, another police car pulls in behind the first. After checking with the first officer on scene, the second starts to head toward us. He casually spoke into his shoulder mounted radio.

As the officer approaches, I'm thinking we're about to get our chops busted. The first words out of his mouth, however, were: "Wow, those are a couple of baaad assss cars." He engages us in conversation, and seemed like he couldn't care less about the potential technical "issues" with these "street cars." My friend, when asked, gave the actual rwhp numbers for the two cars. The officer gets back on his radio and says something like: You know those two cars I just told you about? You've got to come check them out." A minute or so later, another police car shows up. The first officer finishes citing the driver of the Accord, and joins the party. We chat for about 15 minutes, and they are acting like total car guys.

As it's winding down, the first officer to approach us, tells us that he is a watch commander who is working some OT out in the field to cover for another officer that was out sick. He hands over his business card, and jokingly asks us to keep it under warp speed until we get well out into the desert.

Had another funny one(these are all true....too funny not to be...)

Was walking home from a party about 3am in a 'slightly' unsafe area when a car comes screeching to a halt next to me. As I get ready to bash or be bashed my mates roll down the windows of a morris minor and say were going for a cruise get in. We end up doing high speed corners(these are normal neighbourhood intersections) all through the suburbs for about an hour. When leaving the area we pass a co who'd pulled over another car and as we were 'casually' gliding by hoping to remain unnoticed the car backfires right in front of him.

Eventually... the cop pulls us up 5km down the road. He asks us all to get out so we carefully do so. 'Carefully' is due to the fact that the car doesn't have seat belts, and the seats aren't bolted to the floor either. The cop starts to inspect the vehicle and I don't believe there was a single safety item that would have passed.

They decide to search the inside of the car , so they open the passenger door and try to pull the seat forward - when the entire seat rolls out of the car and lands on his toes!! His exclamation of "WHAT THE F@@K!!" will always be remembered.

After a fairly extensive list of safety violations he asks us who's car it is, and my mate says he "STOLE IT" from his old man(father). He goes on to say how he'll get booted out of home for getting a RED STICKER(car may not be driven notice) on his fathers car. The cop lets him have only a Yellow sticker(30 days to rectify) notice and lets us drive home!!
