    Deepest/Darkest black paint?

As the title says, I am wondering what is the blackest, deepest, darkest black paint out there. I want it to shine like no other as well, so I assume base/clear is the paint needed?

I dont want pearls, flips or anything like that, just straight up BLACK.

Manufacturer and paint codes would be greatly appreciated.

This is to paint the enitre car.

The blackest an deepest black i have ever seen is PPG's concept black. It's a urethane single stage. Most people don't like single stages, but PPG's concepts is some nice stuff. Stay away from house of kolor's black, it has a brown tint to it. I know PPG and DuPont both has a straight black that is very deep.

a black toner out of just about any paint mixing system will be the deepest and darkest black, you don't need any OEM color formula, since most stock black colors have brown, white, yellow in the mix

There was a thread on somebody repainting to straight black a few months ago that I saved. I think the paint used was PPG Global 740. Nice pics too.

Dan, in Ultra 7000, in a formula for OEM 202 black

    only 1 pint mix has

    HS Black 446 grams
    HS Yellow 16 grams,

so that school bus yellow will make that black somewhat dirty

Do they add yellow to help "hide" dust and dirt?

lol no,man, that is just what it takes to match the factory 202 black, though Toyota has been using that color for decades and still does to this day

Ah, gotcha. Just wondering why auto manufacturers don't just use straight black.

ford has a color code that is just straight black. I painted a 2005ish F150 and when mixing the paint it took just straight 1683 from our PPG mixing system.

Because they don't want to use gay black.

House of Kolor's Triple Black has a nice look to it as well.

I wouldn't waste my money on HOK black, as I said before, High Solids Black toner out of any paint mixing system will be darker than any OEM paint

Dupont's blackest black is G9900....much deeper than 99K/F(805)

G9900 is not a part of the standard dupont mixing system, and it comes RTS with the exception of reducing and activating if needed

as for PPG i have no idea

How deep is the lamborghini Nero Aldebaran on the murcielago? That's probably the darkest black I've seen but that might have just been perception because it was a murci
