MotoGP Official Test at Sepang, Malaysia

For those that haven't seen the results. It's good to see Loris and Team Suzuki being very competitive all weekend and Nicky slowly getting use to the Duc. It looks like Stoner's and Rossi's injuries aren't slowing them down any also. I hope 09' is going to be a good year.

I think between MotoGP and World Superbike we'll be seeing the best racing. The US racing series is going to be crap.

Good to see Edwards up that high; sad to see Nicky down that low, but he's getting there...)

And it is weird not seeing Kawasaki or Hopkins on the board and wish Toseland could be competitive but it's hard for courses he hasn't been on before.

    fixed.

WSBK is the series to watch this year. There's so much depth in the talent.

Joe, are you going to be at Miller Motorsports Park for the USA WSBK round?

I wish, dude. That would be awesome.

Maybe I should take a road trip to OOtah? I hadn't even considered that thought... Maybe I should?

The FIM rated them as the best racing facility in 2008. The track is amazing for both racers and spectators. From any given seat, you can see at least 70% of the track at one time. I still can't believe how much fun I had last year at the inaugural MMP superbike race.
I say, if you can afford the trip then it's a must. I should be buying my tickets in a month or two.

As of the 2009 season Friday morning free practice sessions for all classes have been removed from the Grand Prix schedules and all MotoGP practice sessions (including qualifying) have been reduced to 45 minutes in length.

Electronic and hydraulic launch control systems and electronic suspension systems have been banned.

Furthermore, in the eight 2009 MotoGP World Championship races which follow the summer break, commencing with the 14th-16th August trip to the Czech track of Brno, each MotoGP rider will be restricted to the use of a maximum of five engines until the end of the season.
Wow. Interesting to say the least.

What will make things more interesting is if Stoner pulls out for the season because of his injury. There are already a few articles floating around with him saying that if he can't get things together soon he will pull out for 09.

Looks like WSBK may be the series to watch since Rossi will most likely take another championship if Stoner pulls out.

Yea...Stoner's injury prevents him from going any more than a few laps at a time. He certainly is not race distance fit yet....

If Stoner isn't racing it will be devastating for ratings of MotoGP with WSBK being so crazy stacked. Spies and Sykes on the new R1, Haga on the 1098r, Biaggi on the new RSV4, Xaus and Corser on the Bimmer, man I can't fucking wait!

Don't forget shakey burne on the 1098R as well. I'm expecting some big things from Neukirchner and Kiyo too.

I'm not. They'll get their 1-2 wins in the whole season.

I think Rea, Spies, Haga and Fabrizio will be the points leaders. Unless Biaggi and the new RSV4 throws a wrench in things.

I've heard all kinds of craziness about lap times, especially from Phillip Island. No telling on this one. I hope either Haga can keep it upright for a season for once (he deserves it) and get a title or Spies takes it home for the USA.

I don't even care I just can't wait for Sunday!

It's Haga's season to lose. He has the tools. If he can stay on the bike and be consistent, it should be his.

Yes WSBK is the series to watch this year. The grid is STACKED. I also want to see Spies win for the home front, but I am rooting for Haga to take the series as he deserves it and is riding for my favorite marque!

Spies is the real deal man. I hope he wins and then we get to see him mixing it up with Stoner/Rossi in MotoGP next year.

1.5 seconds between Pole and 20th!

Its going to be some close and crazy racing!

Nice to see Parkes in the top ten on a Kawi!

This is awesome for Nakano IMO on a new bike.

It's amazing that some of the top spots are separated by a matter of only a few hundreths and in some places just a few thousandths...

Those RSV4s are one of the best looking bikes I've ever seen. Good to know they run also.
