Well, finally got a day to take out the t-rex 450. WOW, the needle is definitely in the vein. I love my DX7, I love the heli. No wreck thank god despite some decent wind (google said 12 mph with 16 gusts, but I'd say ~5mph with 10-12 gusts) and no training gear I was surprised honestly. I even took it in a circle once and got too scared to do it again haha but a good solid 9-10 minutes of hovering/slow forward flight and landings was a blast. I can't wait to get it up in the air and really moving.

ps, I bought phoenix about a week ago and have spent numerous hours on it playing around. Getting pretty damn good. But it is already paying for itself. There was a moment today where the heli got a little out of sorts, and I had the instinct to pull the throttle and minimize damages, but forced myself to really pull on both sticks to get it back into shape as i do on the sim and miraculously came out flat and level thank god! GO!!! Get a sim now if you dont have one!

Congrats man! Both are great helis. I LOVE my rex 450. I've only flown it twice and it is flawless if you set it up very carefully. I spent a good 5+ hours with programming, balancing the blades, leveling the swash installing the rx etc etc... not to mention 10-15 simulator hours. Worth your time! Patience is key in this hobby for sure.

I really just love looking at these birds. I can wait to get out and try out the Trex 450. The guy said its really easy to fly, and much more stable. The Trex 250 has a scorpion brushless motor, i just tested it, and man is it power full.

I have this same problem. I stare at mine all day. I took the head off today and switched around some pars not because it was necessary: I just wanted to spend some time with it. lol

ps, 3 flights in so far and no wrecks. I'm actually 15+ feet in the air moving around a fair amount now as well. Small banked turns etc... I love this heli.

The 250 looks like fun. My father is a pilot and I fly around in his hangar now and then. The 250 would be perfect for that!

Yeah! They are awesome. I have about 8 hours into it already. I went , and sold 3 trucks today, made a quick 900$ . I went and blew it today, QUICK. I picked up another Rex 450 today, for 250!!!! Suck a insane deal . It was a kid like 17 years old, i think addicted to drugs, maybe stole it or something not sure. Take a look, tell me what you think. He also knew NOTHING ABOUT IT. I had to bring my own lipo, because he didn't know how to work the charger he had with it ( ICE charger ), which he included for an extra 45$ , so 295 ( I gave him 300, i only had 50's. )

Take a look, let me know what you think.. Also, I would LOVE to have a huge, no air play ground like that to use. I'm hatin' in you for sure right now!!! LUCKY! LOL. I also have a problem with taking stuff apart, just to put it back together, and " clean " it , lol. But like i said, i spend like 300$ on this new 450 ( which I'm going to sell one of them ) .. Anyways, here it is. Sorry about the shitty pics, i was at my buddies house, and just snapped them real quick. Ill get some with the other Rex's and the Hirobo.

Oh, and to get back to the money I made, i went out and bought some more lipo's for the bird's. I also picked up another scorpion brush less motor, and a better gyro, for the 450. I actually spend more then 900$ today. But I also got something for my new savage XL that i got. LOL. I have pics of them all. Taken with my buddies camera, and my girl friends shitty little 5 megapixel. So yeah, its REALLY easy to spend like 975$ on this stuff, not to mention 600$ on just stuff to fly it. I go other little parts, like 2 sets of back up blades, etc.

Yup, these are custom... I'm actually building them for our club members. We're going to use them as combat planes for streamer combat. They're cheap, tough, and HILARIOUS fun to fly (obviously ).

Those are two I just finished for customers, one camo and one Blue Angels style. Currently I'm building F-22's but I have a LOT more designs on the way... I've already got prototypes of the Eurofighter and MiG-29 built and flying, just getting them tweaked for production.

I'm also about to start work on F-18, F-15, F-16, F-14 (permanently swept wing), F-23, F-35, MiG-25, SU-27, SU-35, SAAB Draken, SR-71, X-29, Mirage, and a few others

I'm selling airframes only for $15, airframe with servos and pushrods (ready for motor and radio) for $35, and receiver ready for $75. That's club prices, once I begin selling to other people the price will jump slightly. I'm just trying to get everyone into these so we can do some combat.

I'm guessing the speed is around 55-60 at most. However, the maneuverability is off the chain... I can head straight down with the Eurofighter at full throttle and yank the elevator at about 4' from the ground and it will recover with a foot to spare. It's amazing how quick they are. Also, the Euro has a ridiculous roll rate... it blurs and makes a funny EWEWEWEWEWEWEW noise

What really gets me though is the speed range. I can fly circles around myself, nose high, barely moving, then punch the throttle and accelerate to full speed in a couple of seconds. Then cut the throttle, raise the nose, and slow back down to a literal crawl. I can easily fly backwards in a 10mph wind.

Unfortunately Utah has been subject to a strange amount of wind lately. Pisses me off it couldn't have come at a time when I wasn't getting into pretty much the only hobby in the world that's so wind dependent. I have a picture of my rex flying today. I'll have to upload it later.

Also, does anyone have phoenix sim?? If so, we need to get a group fly going sometime ;-)

Thanks for the kind words! I have not got to fly any of them yet, been really busy. But its awesome looking at 4 birds just sitting on my end table! Specially when 3 of them are decked in nice anodized billet parts! Im glad both of them have blue parts, but i think im going to go with black / pink here soon. I have a buddy who owns a shop that does anodizing, and chroming, and shit. So im going to have some peices chromed, and some anodized pink or purple, or maybe lime green, but its going to go with black, what ever i decide to do. I think it should look pretty cool. They will all have the same parts painted the same color, and the billet parts anodized the same color and what not, so they will all match! I have lots of extra blades now, and back up parts from what my local hobby shop told me i have the best chance of breaking. So im pretty confident to get out and fly, just planning on crashing, but we will see! Im going to start with the 250, see what comes out of it, try to get like a good 20-30 hours logged on it, then move to the bigger ones. But im only going to fly 1 450, the other one will simply be fore display only.


I need some suggestions on what to do with the new color scheme , i just cant get one down pat. I was thinking actually, just to go ALL black on the 250, with " BLACK KNIGHT " Air brushed in a nice silver on either side of the canopy. What do you think? Might do this with one of the 450's as well. But i want the one i wont fly to be just like, WOW. Something no one has seen before, that will stand out and people will think of every-time someone mentions a REX .

If anyone is interested in my T-rex 250, I will sell it for 250$, with a Dx6 controler. Flew it, and the 450 today, and im going to keep the 450's only. I might even throw in a BRAND NEW lipo for a little bit extra. Heli was only flown 3 times, twice by the previous owner, once by me! I think its a good deal?
