Front sight is on purpose. I prefer it that way, functionally it makes no difference which way it's on.
Yeah i realized right after I was missing a charging handle (no bolt in it either...) Was too excited and just slapped the upper on it![]()

The plane will fly.
Just my Plain ol Colt Sporter with a front bi pod.
Since this is a early model I want to keep it as close to possible as my issued rifle when I was in the USAF.
I plan on building a M4 clone next and having my way with that one....

Hey Jer, whats some good long distance shooting spots around the Denver area? I'm planning on coming back up to that area in late June. Will be driving this time around and will be brining all my long range stuff. We will be shooting big stuff like Barrett M99, Armalite AR50, TRG 42 in 338LM, my 7WSM M16s and some .308s. Last time I was there we just went into the mountains to shoot since my friend lives in Evergreen it was close to him.
I dont have any fancy pics yet as im still waiting for a sling and some minor stuff, but ill try to get some soon.
Well, I'm north of that an hour or so (Fort Collins/Loveland area) and we generally go even further north or east to shoot any distance stuff. I'm a member of a club that has a REAL nice indoor range if you want to do any handgun stuff on some nice lanes that are all computer controlled and what not. There's some stuff further up north and in Wyoming as well as out East in Pawnee Grassland. PGL is kind of scary... almost like the wild wild west so if you're brave that's a possibility too. Are you moving back or just coming to visit? We can probably arrange something. I know of some people who like to do some long range stuff and I should have my .338 Lapua Mag rig up and running by then too.
Just coming to visit. I know we will most likely have to drive east into the grasslands out of the mountains to get some real long distance. Just wasn't sure where. I feel if we are driving all this way out there, what's a couple of hours more? Know of any good dog towns in the area? I wouldn't mind paying, only if it wasn't some crazy ass amount for a day of prairie dog slaying.
around 3 or 4 shooters. Going to be out there for probably a full week.
Well, we can see what we can scare up but if you guys are up for another 3hrs or so driving we can go back to where I shoot in Nebraska. My buddy has gobs of farm land and we can do just about anything back there. I like to load up guns and go back for a few days of shooting & eating good mexican food. I'm not sure what is around Denver as I typically don't go into higher populated areas to shoot. There's some good spots down south in the Pueblo area and I have a buddy down there too but that's a bit of a drive.
Got my first tax stamp back yesterday (67 days door to door)
