iv been searching for two days now and have read up on the different cases where people had or thought they had rod knock. well i may have a similar problem as i have diagnosed that it gets louder as RPM's increase above 2000 RPM suggesting something internal is touching where it shouldnt be. my question is, would it be straight foward to get to drop the oil pan and get to the crank, undo the rod bolts and check the bearings? or am i missing some way of correcting this problem. also should i replace the bearings or the rods as well - if there is no damage would i be good to use the rods?
