Why does it matter? If you want to go fast, shouldn't you buy a sport bike or something. I get annoyed with threads on the dirt bike site i frequent, "how fast will my bike go with these mods" Who gives a rats ass. It's made to go off road not drag race.

^ That's like saying why drag race with a car, it's made to go places and haul people/stuff not race...

Do you have the speed governor unplugged on it? And what did you change for the gearing? My dad has a 700r and on GPS it ran around 78-79 with it plugged in and like 82-83 with it unplugged. For mods he has the baffle removed, K&N, and a Dobeck fuel controller. My 04 450r with Dasa exhaust, K&N and stage 2 hot cams runs about 79 bouncing off the rev limiter, I need to re-gear it sometime as we do a lot of open road riding.

    LOL to your first statement.

yeah i unplugged the speed limiter, i actually clocked it this weekend, it went 85mph w/ exhaust intake pc3 tune and 15 tooth sprocket and unplugged. The things hauls from a dig. I usually launch from 2nd gear, but even then it goes tires up with the new sprocket. Just put a new clutch in the bike too, went with a tusk clutch w/ upgraded springs. Def a lot "grabbier" I like it. I have some video footage of some of our outings. Ill make a new thread for them in this section.

I was thinking of doing some cnc port work to the head over the winter and get a cam springs valve and a piston in the bike to refresh it. I was thinking when it gets really too cold to ride, but i rode this past weekend and it was like 40 degrees and i was fine almost the entire day. Except for when my feet got wet that sucked.

My next true mod might be those hiper tec3 wheels w/ holseshot hd's everytime i go out now a days i end up slashing a tire or putting a hole in one.

The head work, cam and piston should add A LOT! Whenever my engine needs a rebuild its getting a 3mm big bore, stroker, and headwork. And it's never to cold to ride!! Haha we go year round up here, the snowmobile trails are a blast.

I want to do it man, just need to finish the supra first and then ill concentrate on the wheeler I wanna do some wheels soon, like the hiper tec3's or something and def some tires.

My KFX450R went 73.4 with a 15 tooth. I had a 14 on before but it ran out of gear FAST. I still probrably have less gear overall then a raptor.

Updated speeds, held mine wide open for longer this time and got 82.0mph with it. My dad now has a stage 3 hot cam in his and geared it up a tooth and his hits 92mph on blacktop. These are GPS speeds, not guesses like most people with quads seem to do. He likes it, but before he geared it up a tooth we were about even up to speed then he'd walk on me. I think he hit like 86 or 87 in the gravel before he geared it up too. Now I'm bouncing off my rev limiter for a while before he passes me up.
