Well, Daves car is back down. Apparently, the 140K mile shortblock did not appreciate being turbocharged.
Even at limited power, 6 psi with only 12 degrees of timing to keep it from making a lot of power and save the trans. The oil pump was primed before first start, the oil was fresh and clean, and the filter didn't have anything big in it other than bearing material.
Sometimes its a gamble. I'll be putting a short block in it shortly and then it'll be fine.

anybody in louisiana in the market for a supra?..looks like im gonna have to let mine go (moving)...i know this is not for sale section just wanted to test the local waters first...93.5...69,000 original miles,5 spd, mostly all stock..mvp motorsports r2 bushings all around, 18in ruff rims,new brake pads, timing belt, injectors, knn drop in, etc...have all receipts...local wholesaler offered me 11k, id like to get 13. the paint could use a touch up it has some dings on it and the cancer/rust spots under the hatch window. got more pics in the camera if anybody is serious.

I really want an SC just to have a daily driver. If i get the supra I doubt that I will do any engine work to it. My focus is the z right now she is already a beast. I planning on doing either a single turbo conversion to the VG or swapping the rb26 in two years so I started saving for it now. The z should be sitting at around 900wrhp in two years.
