Does it make the knocking noise through the entire RPM range now?
Sound like rod knock to me as rod knock is a audible knock. Could also be your valves clicking from having low oil. Check the oil filter and the oil for metal shavings and such but odds are you've got rod knock since 7M's have a tendency to do that when oil gets low.

Make sure you do plenty of research before you replace the headgasket and decide what power levels you are going to want.

Yea I was ganna get stock size head gasket but get it permatourque one an Molly coated rod bearings an king something or other piston rings an stock internals are good to 500 horses so I was ganna boost it an have about 10 to15 psi of boost sense compression is what 9.5:1. How's that sound? Good plan or idea?

Stock internals are not good for 500 hp. Compression on a GE motor is 9.2:1, not 9.5:1. I wouldnt push the boost past 10psi on a stock GE block.

Not a very good idea to me, but thats just my two cents.

ps- just because your cams are scored doesn't mean that was the problem. You still probably have rodknock, and if you do- you'll need to have the crank inspected and the rods resized at the very least.

Rod knock is usually almost always unmistakable for anything else, sounds just lake someone knocking on a door, not a tapping or a ticking noise. IME, rod knock in its early stages usually starts out when the engine is cold and goes away as the engine warms up. It is only after you let the condition worsen that you hear it after warm-up and through out the rpm range. Toyota engines from that era have noisy injectors and some valve tick that is normal, especially in the 22r(e)engines. Many new to that era of Toyota's mistake the ticking noise for valves, so don't be too surprised if you still here the tick after the rebuild. You might pick up a stethoscope and see if you can here where the noise is coming from, before you tear the engine apart.
