PC guys... do you guys know if Nvidias 3D vision kit can work w/ a Radeon card? If not I might sell/return my brand new card before I open it. Whats a good card on the nvidia side assuming I'm spending $300-$450?

Been playing a little more of the single player today. It's too bad that a whole lot of units used in the SP are no where to be found in the MP.

Yeah no kidding, I didn't understand that... MAKES ZERO SENSE TO ME as well, it's like not allowing a AK-7 to be played with in MP but only in SP. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
I think its cool. No way to balance or have uses for all those units in MP. Wraith is useless, among others. They can be used in custom games though...

If you're doing a single card then the GTX480 is very nice. But if you can do dual cards Tom's did a dual GTX460 vs single GTX480 and the dual 460's came out a bit ahead.
Dual GTX460 should be around $400-$425 shipped while a single 480 is around $450.

yo, watched a few replays of Doom last night, decided to try out some Thor Drops this morning before work and totally owned! haha. I did a 1-1-1 build then got 2 medivacs, 1 thor and 4 scv drops. dropped them in the enemy's mineral lines and BYE BYE
i will play protoss soon enough but i prefer mastering one race at a time and zerg was always my favorite race from original SC/Brood war
terran mech just shits on zerg more or less - one of your 2 mid game ground units (hydras or upgraded roachs) get shit on by siege tanks. If you go mutas stimmed marines w/ medvacs will rip them apart + vikings
brood lords can do well against tanks - thors but you cant really get them quickly and a smart terran player is just going to mass up vikings and smash them assuming they scouted them

+1. I've been using the Phoenix rush lately and owning people left and right. Protect the front door with a couple cannons then 5-6 phoenix straight into their minerals while building up a void ray army.

I never played so many hours of starcraft in 1 weekend in my life. From saturday 7:30PM to Sunday night monday morning at 1am I played roughly 33hours. :X

phoenixs can be really good if you micro them well as they can attack while moving and whatever that prison ball thing is that lifts them up is rape for a mineral line if you have a few of them
At least in Diamond 1v1 : If you go mech, and you don't manage to win on a map that has more than a few expos, in the first 15 minutes... you lose. Zerg tier 3 is by far the best tier 3 in the game IMO. A combo of broodlords, curropters, and ultras is almost unbeatable. Vikings are pretty crappy vs Zerg over all. Just expand a ton and hold on with roaches and you'll make it to tier 3. Mech is super slow. I can't even tell you how bad ultras rape everything Terran has on the ground.
I've been doing banshee harass to contain, to fast expo to battle cruisers vs Zerg recently.
yea t3 zerg is great but it is just getting there that can be dicey
ultras rip apart tanks/bio balls etc if you get a good number of them paired with broods/corrupters for air cover

also i wonder sometimes how people get paired up in random games i swear some of the people i have played with (in diamond 2v2/3v3) are completely terrible at the game
as in they don't build anything / have no idea how to hold off a 7 pool zergling rush etc
i don't even know how many games i have lost due to dumb people like that
one thing i do enjoy is people that only know how to mass one of a particular unit (protoss in particular) they keep on massing stalkers when i am just pumping out hydras nonstop
