Squad chat sucks because I can't yell at you for being a fucking reject.
I mean really guys? You got pushed back because you didn't disarm an MCOM? You didn't wanna take out a tank with your RPG, so the whole team got rolled over by one tank? You can't revive people as a Medic? You can't lay down your ammo/health packs?
So yeahs I want Team Chat over Squad Chat for this game ALL THE TIME.

But I fucking HATE people who play Support and NEVER lay down their ammo packs. What the fuck! I sometimes give Assault people the benefit of the doubt, they may not have their defib equipped. But most Support people should still have their ammo packs.
I don't know if it's a coincidence or if the PC version actually got updated (dled a quick update today), but the fact that they added a Queue system makes joining servers 17580198032x more pleasant.

There was a server side update for all platforms this morning. It fixed a lot of small issues like the lag, and rubber banding, but hasn't fixed the squad problems yet. If no one posts the list before I get off work I will when I get home. They said the sqad stuff will get fixed "soon" though. Tehran and Caspain were really bad with the lag and rubber banding, anyone notice that to be fixed?
Still lags at times. MW3 is around the corner...

Squad Functionality: Improved!
Today, we rolled out a number of fixes that will improve squad functionality. Specifically these fixes will improve squad stability and lessen the risk of your squad getting split up when joining a game. Keep gaming, and keep sending us your feedback so we can hunt down any outstanding squad issues.
Default Server Region Setting: Improved!
In the manual server browser on Xbox 360, there was an issue where US players would sometimes be defaulted to European servers. We rolled out a fix for this today. You can still set your preferred region(s) in the server browser, and it's a great tool to find your favorite servers, game modes, and gamer friends. Check out this handy guide for everything you can do with the console server browser, and let us know what you think!

We asked and you delivered! We asked our creative community to name one of the redesigned control points on the upcoming Back to Karkand map Gulf of Oman. We had over 18,000 submissions and tons of fantastic suggestions. However, there can only be one winner and that winner is Simon W. His control point name suggestion was Veteran's Retreat, which will be featured in the Gulf of Oman map in the Back to Karkand expansion pack in December. Back to Karkand Lead Designer Niklas Fegraeus calls it "a great suggestion that gives our veteran Battlefield fans a well-deserved nod while fitting perfectly with the map theme." Congratulations, Simon, and thanks for helping us out with the name!
Physical Warfare Pack for all
All of our players will be happy to know that Physical Warfare Pack will be available to everyone in the future! The Physical Warfare Pack contains the Type 88 LMG, DAO-12 Shotgun, SKS Sniper Rifle flash suppressor, and flechette ammunition for the DAO-12 Shotgun. Since we rolled out the server patch yesterday, we have seen a big increase in quick match functionality on consoles. You should now be able to join a quick match the majority of times without any issues.
However, please make sure to check that you are matched against servers in your own region by following this guide for the console server browser. If not, this could potentially have a negative impact on lag and rubber banding. We will keep working on improving the quick match stability and reliability further.
2) JOINING SQUADS AND STAYING THERE
Status: Fix pending in the very near future
Some people have experienced difficulties joining and staying in squads on console. We have identified the cause of this problem and will hopefully have a fix ready to roll out very soon. You should then be able to stay together in your squad throughout the game. Please follow this guide for how to create and join squads prior to starting a match, which is the quickest and most reliable way to make sure you play with the right people in the right game. We will return tomorrow with an update on when this fix is live.
3) HARDCORE SERVER AVAILABILITY
Status: Improved! Try it out and leave your feedback on the Battlelog forums
We know you love your hardcore mode. We have identified and eliminated the problem that made our hardcore servers disappear after being live for a set period of time. You should now find plenty of Hardcore servers to join.
4) LAG AND RUBBER BANDING
Status: Fix just rolled out. We are positive this will improve the situation. Help us verify by playing Caspian Border and Tehran Highway on Conquest!
Some users are experiencing lag and rubber banding, mostly tied to Conquest mode on Tehran Highway and Caspian Border. This was due to a bug in the network code that has been identified and eliminated in today’s console server patch, resulting in a big improvement in these cases. For PC, this issue was improved in an earlier server patch.
However, please make sure to check that you are matched against servers in your own region by following this guide for the console server browser. If not, this could potentially have a negative impact on lag and rubber banding. We will keep working on improving the quick match stability and reliability further.
5) DEFAULT REGION SETTING IN SERVER BROWSER
Status: Fix pending in the very near future
Some players, mostly in the US, may have had their default region setting in the server browser set to Europe, which would lead to unnecessary lag and rubber banding. This would incorrectly also affect your quick match attempts. This will be fixed shortly. You can still manually use the server browser and set the desired server region to any region you want.
You might also want to follow this guide for how to best take advantage of the features in the console server browser. That way, you have total control over what game mode and map to join, and on what server.
6) GAME STABILITY
Status: Greatly improved! Leave your feedback on the Battlelog forums
In today’s server patch, we also made numerous fixes to the overall game stability, including the elimination of two of the most frequent game crashed we have seen reports on. You should see an increase in game stability from now on.
7) ORIGIN INSTALLATION AND AUTHENTICATION ISSUES
Status: Fix pending in the very near future
Since the launch of Battlefield 3, Origin have implemented a host of improvements and will continue to do so as long as gamers are playing Battlefield 3. The next Origin update is scheduled for early November and includes a number of critical updates that will fix most of the problems that people have experienced. I don't get it maybe it's just a console thing but everything you guys have been bitching about I havn't seen on the PC at all. There are always ammo packs everywhere for the most part people are grouped up in TDM when they need to be and overall people don't suck. Most of the top 3 players are above 2.0 kdr and the other players far behind in a decreasing order of course
DICE announced the back to karkand dlc will be released in December
K/D doesn't mean jack shit if you're team isn't doing anything. And yes the PC community is better (like back when I played BFBC2) but sometimes its hard to find a good game to play.
Shit I had a game last night where I went 4 and 4, and I was the MVP with 4800pts!

I wish I had a capture card to post some of the shit I do while driving jeeps and flying planes.
I really wish they let you make your own setup for flying aircraft in this game on consoles. I HATE the stick layouts they give you.

Yup, no matter how hard I try, I have zero precision while I'm flying. Pitch on left stick, roll on right stick. Don't know who thought of the crappy current layout.
Quick question, what does "pitch" or "roll" do when you fly? I only tried flying once and still crashed when I nosedived? I was at full throttle so takeoff wasn't the cause...

Pitch is your up and down position (up/down on the left stick). Roll is your 360 degree spin of the plane as you are looking at it (left/right on the left stick). Yaw is your left to right movement of the plane when horizonatal (right stick left/right). Yaw is used for small movement corrections from left to right.
The way the game is setup you are supposed to do all your main movents with one stick, which is fucking retarded when you have two damn sticks at your disposal. Helicopters are even worse. You probably wrecked because you pressed up on the left stick to go up and then dive bombed into the ground. Pull back on the stick to ascend, push forward to dive.

I haven't been shot down when I fly yet...I get the controls okay.. But it till could have been better. Not only that since the Maps are smaller on the console you have no room and the sense of speed in a jet is like....yeah. Not only that targeting people in a fucking jet sucks when all you have is the machine gun.
Got my first double kill headshot sniping today...wish I had fraps going oh well.....oh and another thing is there any easy way to kill those fucking mavs?
Lots of profanity and randomly shooting everywhere.
Need to get the heat seekers to make the sky fun..
