I dont think there is a reliable importing company. Its always gonna be a gamble because you cant inspect it in person. Your best bet would be to find a full front cut. You will get a dash with it so you will know its mileage but you still wont know how the engine was treated.
The solution to the problem only changes the parameters of the problem.

I got mine from Zero Lift their out of Ohio and when we tore it apart all the internals looked great and clean we changed everythin anyway but I bet as is it was a great motor the only problem was that almost all my pullies were bent. But I had spare's so no worries..

I bought a VG engine for my 300zx from JDM Source here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was in good condition, and ran good until I sold the car. Shipping may be a bitch though.

thanks for all your replies, i'll be checking out a couple you guys mentioned and see what I can come up with. ZLRobert sounds like a good person for letting you make it in payments,I don't know anyone else who would do that.

+1 got my Aristo 2JZ from them and shipping was only $60 to my door in Denver. The owner answers all calls/email and didn't hide anything about the engine. My car's running great pulling 15psi vacuum up here at 5,700 feet and no smoke.

I can tell you where not to go! Nagano Japanese. They sent me 2 engines and i can only make one good one. Car is still not running because i have to go spend more money to buy a ecu sense the one they sent was junk and cant be fixed! I spent alot more money with them than i should have which is my own fault for thinking they wouldnt screw me over twice...

i may have met him when i got my rotors from jhot in denton (bought on ebay and just happened to be a coincidence that they were so close to me so i opted to pick them up) ashame they shut down, theyre litterally 10-15 min from my house.

i actually got my stock headgasket in and done today. valve cover leak, cps leak and some wiring to work through and i should be good for awhile longer...so i wont be in the market for a jdm motor afterall (or anytime soon hopefully), but if i do i have the number in my phone now. thanks man
