3.5 inch to 5 inch reducer

This will be for my temporary useage of the stock MAF/ECU for my GT4202R. Sounds crazy, I know. But It'll be ran on low boost for the time being, on my stupid OBD-I hopefully I'll be ok with that lean spike I might get.

Anyways, I was looking for a nice reducer to use. Can't find anything that'll slip over the stock MAF (3.5 inch?) to the 5 inch inlet on the turbo.

You prob want a 5" to 4" AT the turbo housing directly. Then run 4" alum piping for a foot or two, then run a 4 to 3.5" there with the filter on the other side of the MAF.

I'd like to just use the one coupler. Looking for something that's not so abrupt.

Anyone else find any solutions? Rolled aluminum even?

I might have something like this: http://www.truckpipestore.com/5-id-to-35-id-reducer-alz

Why the heck do you have a GT42 on a stock ECU? You out of all people.... tsk tsk

    Kirk, I love you! LOL
It's a Gt4202 with the R compressor wheel, on a journal bearing no less! Lol.

It's just going to be temporary until I break in my clutch, and finish up a couple of other things. Don't worry it's nothing intended to be permenant. But in the meantime I have to connect the MAF

Still looking for something not so abrupt.

If its temp just deal with it . .

The way I suggested is the best transitional way to have it.

this is probably unothodox, but i used a 5 litre mustang muffler tip to reduce my 4" exhaust down to 3.75" for the catback. (its how i put a 4" vband on my hks super drager)

im pretty certain they sell 5" diesel muffler tips and i bet some of them reduce at the end to weld onto a smaller diameter pipe.

the magnaflow muffler i used had a perfect reducer at the end of it made of stainless steel, so i bought the pipe for $50 and used the reducer. and i even used part of the muffler to weld into my downpipe.
those ricer parts sure are useful sometimes.
