Need valve stem for SSR GT-03 rim

I brought my rims to the local tire shop to have my tires unmounted. Well the tech broke one of my valve stems and I wasn't sure where to get one from. This is a 18x10 "old style" GT-03. Here is a pic of the valve. Actually, the only thing that broke was the threaded hex head screw.

Dang man, sorry to hear the misfortune. However, yes we can get them. They are $25 plus shipping.

James, you don't know the half of it. Between the machine they were using and the pry bars, they messed up 3 of the rims. I am fixing to go back there today and show them the damage. The shop owner told the tech that he was going to have to pay for a new valve so lets go ahead and get it ordered. If you want go ahead and call me when you read this. Thanks.

Well the owner isn't taking responsibility for nothing. I went back there today and once again the owner put it all on the tech. So now the tech has to pay for the valve stem and whatever it is going to cost to fix the damage. I have never had rims repaired before so I don't have a clue what this stuff normally costs.

On a side note, Dusty who do you use to anodize your fuel hangers? I was possibly looking at getting some stuff done but don't know a good place.

Sounds like it likely is the tech's fault, but unless the tech did it on the side the business owes you, not the tech. Its pretty cut and dry legally speaking.

Contact Will at RacingSolutions.com. We do all the anodizing in batches and he handles it all.

    Thanks,

    Dusty

I kinda feel bad for the tech in a way. Even though I actually knew the tech, this wasn't a side job. The business still charged me $20 for taking the tires off LOL! Turns out the machine they usually use for these types of rims was broke and the owner never had it repaired. So in a way the tech had to use the wrong equipment to do his job. Like you said though, at least he is taking care of it.

I will send Will a email. Thanks.

Yeah I always use Bonner's but they were closed for New Years so I always heard good things about Ball Tire so I decided to go there. I was thinking all they have to do is take the tires off what could go wrong HA!

I will give you a call tomorrow after lunch.

I got to Allied Tire in Alex with mine and never had any problems. Might try them if you ever need anything else done.

I lost all my contacts when I updated my phone so call/text my cell, so I have it again.
